So every police officer can go and answer every call?

Over here we have police zones, and police officers patrol their own zone and handle the issues of their own zone (as long as no outside backup is required). Then we have the federal police that handle national issues and stuff like murders.

"just use linux" is great advice. Not everybody has the money for PC upgrades. And the amount of people that require specific Windows programs and can not switch to an alternative that works on Linux is extremely small.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of the map.

If you are talking about this map; I saw the milky way in a blue area during the summer when there weren't any clouds. So in most cases you don't really have to travel too far, just need to get lucky with the weather.

I meant as in country laws instead of local laws from municipalities and regions.

We have federal laws and local laws where I live, but I don't live in a federation either.

[-] x00z@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

I think Sweden has federal laws too.

Light pollution is absolutely horrible. Many people have not even seen the milky way with their own eyes.

GPT summarize:

Mozilla's latest update on Privacy-Preserving Attribution (PPA) discusses its testing phase in Firefox, focusing on privacy in digital advertising. The prototype allows aggregated ad measurement without revealing individual user data, using cryptographic techniques and partnerships with entities like ISRG and Fastly. PPA aligns with privacy laws like GDPR and is being tested in controlled environments, such as ads for Mozilla VPN on the Mozilla Developer Network (MDN). Mozilla aims to refine PPA through feedback and expand testing while ensuring transparency and collaboration.
