The reality is that sometimes you have to work together at work, and sometimes there's bad things that happen, and it's easier to get through those bad things if you are already accustomed to normally talking to a person for 1 to 2 minutes.

But we are suggesting that learning to speak to people and hold conversations on ordinary topics is a useful skill in life. But you don't need it! You can definitely get through life without it! But it's hard to hold down certain jobs if you can't talk to the people around you smoothly.
