I’m gonna regret this… so tell me about their testicles? Size of basketballs or something?

[-] ramble81@lemmy.zip 7 points 21 hours ago

Let me start by saying how stupid that is…. But, if I had to come up with a reason, it may be because Bitwarden can store passkeys which can then make them portable as opposed to device specific which technically is a security bypass.

It should still show those actions in the mod logs. Can you link some. But seriously, post them here, Let’s see if they get deleted. At least they’ll show up in my inbox that way.

Maybe I haven’t run into it too often or I’ve been ignornant of it, but what are some of those opinions that you’re referring to?

+1 to E33. I’m on Act 3 and just enjoying exploring. This is an absolutely amazing game. The Manor, Verso’s Drafts, the music. The list just goes on and on.

I really liked OP2. It felt like a more polished version of the original, and the music was amazing. The boat mechanic and day/night cycle really helped expand the world.

And then you have Clair Obscur schooling studios on how it should be done.

Ooh. Now that’s a fun piece of trivia.

He should have shown a dingo instead.

Never had any desire to watch 1.11, 3.33, 3.14159… etc after seeing the original. Just completely turned me off.

He still thinks jobs are mainly manufacturing and have to be done in the US. He thinks you’ll either pay the H-1B tax or tariffs if you import it. Any knowledge job is at risk of offshoring to get around this idiocy.

I heard that in the voice of the defective turret from Portal 2.

Title basically says it all. Would it depend if it was the US, Russia or China starting it?

The more I think about things, and how well stuff works in other countries, i believe it’s due to the sheer size and demographic makeup of the country. I often times wonder if it would be better managed with more of an EU style system where certain standards are core across all states and then leave each country to truly govern themselves.

I’m fairly certain this was the original goal when the country was founded and the idea of states rights, but at some it feels like things got flipped on their heads.

(Note, this is probably more of a rant and I know there are definitely things that would not work as well in that situation, but part of me wonders if it’d be a better solution than what we’re stuck with right now)

So I saw this little gem on a job posting. I’m curious, 1) is this legal based on how it’s phrased and 2) what regulation would prevent pay disclosure like this?

However, due to regulatory requirements, we are only able to consider candidates who reside in U.S. states that do not currently mandate salary disclosure in job postings

This includes, but is not limited to: Texas, Florida, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.

Candidates residing in California, Colorado, New York Illinois, Washington, or other states with active pay transparency laws will not be considered at this time

When do decorations usually go up and come down? Are there any unique traditions?

In all three cases all they are doing is providing a platform. The issue with the size of the outages that we’ve seen should be placed on all of the companies that are opting to use them and only them without any regards to redundancy or design.

CloudFlare - There are other CDNs out there such as Akami and CloudFront

AWS - they have multiple regions, not just us-east-1. Also there is GCP and Azure, each with multiple regions

CrowdStrike - Okay there aren’t as many EDRs that do what they do, but it’s still the SPOF basket as the others

In every case I would argue it’s the inexperience, greed and path of least resistance to use these large companies and then blame the providers when something goes wrong, rather than the companies that have chosen to use these platforms. I understand that it’s easier to blame a single entity, but that shouldn’t absolve the companies that use them from being at fault.

Here’s a good example “Phil Axes”. When I search for them online the only hits I get are from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc. I can’t find any Wikipedia, social medial, news articles or anything related to them. Also a lot of the songs are 2:30-3:00 every time.

Are these just AI generated artists and music?

I’ve always heard that Democrats in America would be considered a “right leaning” party in Europe, however I’ve wondered about someone who considers themselves progressive, where they would line up on the spectrum in Europe.

For example I want:

  • Universal Healthcare
  • UBI
  • Taxation of the rich
  • Marriage and general equality for LGBTQ+ persons
  • Better public transport and corresponding social services for all people

Is there something I’m missing in my views, or is that generally what left leaning progressives are looking for in Europe?

I have a DS220+, which frankly I love, but I’m looking to replace it soon. It only has 2 drives, Synology is pulling some fuckery with needing their branded drives and I’m staying on the 6.x firmware given what I’ve seen/heard with 7.x

All that being said, I’m trying to find something that is:

  • At least 4 bays
  • Small form factor (it shouldn’t be much bigger than the drives it’s holding)
  • Capable of running Docker
  • Capable of backing up to an S3 bucket
  • Capable of backing up Windows Clients
  • Habe a decent GUI (I can do CLI, but frankly, don’t want to)

I was thinking potentially QNAP, but didn’t know what else is out there. I really do like Synology and would have looked at one of their models but their vendor lock in move ticked me off. Maybe finding a used 420 or 920?
