Re-wilding a tree in my yard. I haven't mowed under it all summer, and I didn't rake any leaves last fall. Trying to get a healthy mat of organic material under it.
You should plant a bunch of clover under it!
I've been planting clover in my yard for a few years, but haven't planted any this season. Need to do another round. Fucking love clover, it's the best thing ever. Nitrogen fixation for free and I get flowers and butterflies and shit? Sign me the fuck up.
I know! I’ve been trying to convince my mom to plant clover in their yard instead of grass, but she’s such a victim of grass propaganda that she’ll sit in the yard for hours picking out every single clover leaf
