I’m not sure I’d agree that FS comes off as perfectly reasonable because I do get a pretty strong beg me to stay or I’ll leave vibe… but I am amused that OP here read that thread and decided that FS was the aggressor here.
I was also born in ‘84; the 90’s were pretty rad though for a kid so the doom and gloom didn’t really start until around 9/11 for me.
No kidding, I had a brief moment where I hated him slightly less but then I remembered all the tangible harm he has done and it went away.
“F*** unity... We have the votes. And they tried to kill Trump,” he said in another expletive-laden post, referring to Democrats.
Is someone going to tell him?
Damn. I liked Perplexity. Sucks to delete it, but this guy can fuck directly off.
This is a weird way to say “Trump backs out of debating Harris on ABC”.
Before you get really upset about this thread, you should read this other one: https://federate.social/@jik/112779924411100427
I’m not thrilled about this by any means, but what Firefox is doing is not what chrome is doing (which is what the op posted thread is claiming). Conflating them serves no one.
I dislike the narrative that you can’t be happy as an adult. Yeah having nothing to do and no responsibilities was cool, but I would not trade what I have now to have it back.
Adult me has an awesome wife and kids, good friends, hobbies that I wouldn’t have dreamed of as a kid, a tool bench full of fun power tools, and freedom to use my free time basically however I want.
I am way happier as an adult than I was as a teenager.
Tribespeople became so addicted that Marubo leaders, fearing that history and culture — which is passed down orally — could be lost forever, they have now limited access to the internet for two hours each morning, five hours each evening, and all day Sunday.
That is still so much internet, we would probably all be healthier following that guideline.
That’s a very nice thought that I can safely file away as “does not apply to me”.
This layout makes sense if you have used an old school mp3 player or similar.
Volume is left and right because it’s an analog of the volume bar on the screen.
Up and down is previous and next because play was controlled by a list UI so you were moving a cursor up and down between songs.
It’s not how I personally would prefer it, but it’s not as outlandish as it seems.
~~Sorry about your tiny wiener, man.~~ woah this is such a weird comment without the context of the now removed parent. I swear it was like a really good zinger.
