Yay, I never left having physical controls for things like HVAC controls and volume.

Touchscreens are great for context-sensitive controls, but less so for things that should be accessible at all times and usable without looking.

They also keep taking away features, like removable storage (microSD) and headphone jacks. There's a few phones that have them, but it gets more difficult to find them as time goes on.

Reminds me of a time one of my friends was happy that it was going to warm up and said something like "it's going to be twice as warm tomorrow". It was going from maybe 20F to 40F or something.

That led to an interesting discussion.

I miss the old days of Youtube where people made stuff for fun or because they were passionate about a topic, before the big Youtubers pushing shit out the door to get as many views as they can.

I theme mine on how I play them:

  • play with friends

  • play when I have a short amount of time

  • more in-depth games

  • completed

  • unlikely to play (e.g. parts of bundles)

And yes, a bunch of uncategorized

If you only have to do it once (or a few times) and can use it repeatedly ad infinitum, you can be just about as discerning as you want.

Regardless, we really shouldn't be preventing progress for the sake of protecting jobs. Especially when the status quo is so wantonly destructive. And even as this would replace some jobs, it would create new ones.

All that said, I'm very skeptical of this tech.
