We have walked through the valley of insanity, bashed our heads on the walls of frustration only to seek the next valley, the next wall for we thought we glimpsed enlightenment only a decade ago and have dreamed of it since. Sayeth not whether one draws close or hath traversed a false path. Half a life! Bah! A whole life and more is demanded and others too drawn in, burn thy candle from every end lest thou be cursed with an eternal postdoc and irrelevance.

PhD=permanent head damage lol.

Didarul Islam was an NYPD officer not the shooter. The shooter was Shane Tamura a guy from Las Vegas who was a high school running back and had a note asking for his brain to be studied for CTE.

No religious or political reasoning involved as far as we currently know.

Scientific articles use a lot of this type of writing to try and be like "hey guys this is really important and no one else has done it yet"/"hey this is important and we did it better than those other guys". "novel" as in new was extremely prominent for a while.

Saying that the research you're doing is important, unique, new, faster/better is needed to make people agree to fund or publish your research. Using more "complex" words allow doing so with a chance of not sounding like every other paper/article but then people shifted the goalposts so now you have to sound like that to even be considered mediocre and not using that wording can make you be considered as "less" therefore less able to get funding or publish.

E:biomedical areas but other scientific disciplines too

Well you don't have to ride with the poors and you pay direct instead of taxes for maximum inefficiency of money for value.

That's been true since slow-walking advanced equipment and allowing Musk to remain free and not nationalizing Starlink after he fucked parts of the counteroffensive.

Most spears didnt have rounded spikes so you could still slash with them. Using the pole to whack people with was also common. They're more like bladed staffs than anything else.

Legal for the judge to be involved in a business yes. Not ethical for the judge to make rulings about that business but that requires ethics and morals and thanks to Rs even the US Supreme Court doesn't have that.

Below scotus level theoretically judges can censure other judges but idk that process.

My brother, that explanation is not nearly dumbed down enough and as with most math wiki is useless for eli5 stuff.

"Politely" is doubtful. Same guy who told his advertisers to go fuck themselves and now is suing them for not using his platform anymore.

It's quite obvious at a theoretical level but not easy in terms of figuring out the actual process. A lot of science like that.

This is probably one of the most egregious reasons that civil rights photos are in black and white in the textbooks despite color cameras having been a well-established thing by then. To make it seem like it was long ago when it was/is still quite recent. RedliningYour textbooks are made in Texas and the publishers therefore use Texan standards nearly everywhere...Educational material should not be made in red states.

The majority of illegal immigrants enter legally as say tourists then just don't go back(becoming illegal). The other main option is any sort of boat because the US has a gigantic coastline. If they didn't find jobs in the US or could make a living in their home country they wouldn't try and come to the US. But they get hired to do those jobs Americans don't want to do, which ends up being a lot of seasonal work and more unhealthy work (like grinding countertops).
