I wish they hadn't done away with the titan naming. the second the 90 skew was released the titan died, and I feel painting it as just another tier higher of a consumer grade card is disingenuous.

Google having their own proprietary crap embedded in their version doesnt make AOSP not FOSS.

Thats the entirety of the basis for things like GrapheneOS, despite Google gobbling it up.

Plastering it all over social media, I guess.

But honestly the word "quietly" being anywhere in any article's title or anything has become the biggest red flag for just click baiting the piss out of something. I almost always take the title and throw it out the window after I see quietly in any title.

I just bought the FUTO voice input app as well from them and it's genuinely amazing. It has punctuation where it needs to. It cuts out all the UM's. And the best part is, I don't have to pretend that I'm talking to a robot. I can just speak as if I'm talking to a normal person and it gets it right nearly every single time. It is so worth the $5.

This entire comment was typed with it, and I did not edit a single thing.

My biggest issue with windows is it not telling you the exact reason for some weird behavior, and then making it intentionally difficult to go in and modify/fix it yourself.

Linux might break more often, but when it does I've ALWAYS been able to recover or restore it far far easier than I ever could on a windows machine, partially due to the actually helpful error messages.

Infinity just came out, and its what I used for reddit for forever. Someone forked it and made it for lemmy and it's awesome!

I'm thinking of picking up some parts or using an old laptop to host a few services, passbolt being one of them. I've seen that it requires an SMTP server though. Is this actually required? And would I be able to use this without getting a domain name?

I love that perspective, so true. It even goes the other way, YOU could be a literal child posting such a thought-provoking comment, we'll never know.

The thing with VPN's is that you're only shifting the trust from your ISP to your VPN provider. That provider can still see pretty much everything you're doing and your real IP, if they wanted to. To add to this, plenty of VPN companies have been found logging when they said they didn't. I would say either set up traffic for I2P, or simply go with an actually no logs VPN company like Mullvad, who's been battle tested and doesn't log, and you'll be fine.

People also say that because it's important to understand what a VPN is and does as well. It wasn't originally meant to be any sort of anonymity tool, the technology exists to make it seem as if your traffic is coming from somewhere else - which allows for things like remote work on a local network.
