If you look at it from the political side that this is the basic idea of liberal democracy.

Everyone votes in their best interest and especially in proportional representation you get some compromise of the interests.

Right now at least in politics people act less in their own interest but more of what they emotionally feel like their interest.

My brother started working for company that makes these things and now he points every little detail on them.

"Look at this insulator" "Look these anchor points are made at factory I visited last week" ...

For me it is the concept of registering to vote. I am citizen so I have the right to vote automatically and only thing I need to provide is some accepted ID.

You may make fun of it, but the reality of it is even funnier: Ukrainian army is probably occupying gas and oil distribution hub for Hungary, Slovakia and partially for Turkey.

So now Putler has few bad options:

  • Try to liberate it which would probably mean destroying it (using usual Russian tactics).
  • Do nothing and look bad in Russia.
  • Make some concessions to UA and look bad in Russia.

This will be fun.

It will be probably more. I talked with sysadmin from some smaller provider in my country few months ago. And he told me that the migration will take them for most systems about 2 years (depreciation of hardware) and for some machines about 5 years.

So lot of customers are in process of replacing it but it will take multiple years.

I just buy blue t-shirts without logo. I have more than 10 identical t-shirts, multiple of same trousers and shorts.

So it looks like I dont change that often, on the other hand I dont have to decide what to wear.

For me it is maybe camping.

I just tested my new sleeping bag - under 0.5kg rated to -5°C. And realised that I bought/ replaced lots of gear to higher quality gear over few years.
