Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren't they? They're all in favor of the unborn. They will do anything for the unborn. But once you're born, you're on your own. Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, they don't want to know about you. They don't want to hear from you. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you're preborn, you're fine; if you're preschool, you're fucked. - George Carlin

Fascism: a death cult through and through corona

Some leftists are slandered by this, but once again fascists are the real “malthusian degrowthers”.

They’d rather have a tiny economy with an even smaller population because it would be more convenient for the elites. I fail to see this callous disregard of life as anything but malthusianism.

not beating the "pro-birth" allegations

[-] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 10 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

It’s all laid out in “the birth dearth”, the whole pro-life bullshit is just about white people holding onto power.

As far as their asses are concerned, as soon as a child is born they have “served their purpose” and are all too happy to try to exterminate as much life as possible.

Every once in a while - the New York Times interviews Trump voters that the newspaper has been keeping tabs on. For me it's horror comedy. Here's a post of mine from a couple weeks ago - Happy :). But also sad :(. When the interviewees say they are "in favor of some of what Trump's doing" - the reader usually doesn't know exactly what they mean. The Times doesn't ask follow up questions. And the interviewees are treated like lab rats who must be free of outside contamination. The newspaper never asks them directly about what new horrors the Trump administration is committing. And the Times should.

I really want to know how the idiots feel about the Trump administration being pro infant death. I really want to know the "other side" of this issue!

"babies dying preventable deaths in their sleep is good actually" - the most "pro life" person you know

What is the argument for the administration ceasing federal participation? How do they try to justify it? When I take this to my dad, what's he gonna say about how this program was actually woke bullshit?

How do they try to justify it?

The right-wing is post-thought. The most effort they're willing to make is a few sentences or a paragraph at absolute most. My assumption is their "cost cutting" argument is simple and it's always same no matter how insane it sounds to normal people. It goes something like this...

"The woke crowd are yelling and screaming about Trump cutting ____________________. They just hate the cuts because Trump is doing them. The private sector can do it and do it better. The cuts are good."

It's utter nonsense but I think it's a lie that works for them. It's an in-group lie. They don't care at all if it makes no sense and has no logic for other people. From their POV lots of people "just hate Trump" and can be ignored.
