I recently learned that IMAX film cameras are as loud as a lawnmower. That still doesn't explain why Nolan's films have such wretched sound balancing lately.

"Entirely on IMAX cameras" appears to be a rather ambiguous distinction

Those were all shot only partially on IMAX cameras.

Avengers: Infinity War was the first film to be shot entirely in IMAX, but that was only digital.

The Odyssey will be the first film to be shot entirely on IMAX 70mm film stock.

That's odd, as it has separate categories for films partially/entirely shot

There are categories for IMAX films shot entirely/partially digitally, and categories for IMAX films shot entirely/partially on IMAX 65mm film stock.

The Odyssey will be shot entirely on IMAX 70mm film stock.

It's really confusing...

They list F1 as entirely on IMAX digital, but that's not true because it will include footage filmed during actual F1 races onboard. They're the highest resolution cameras used in a car to date, but they're not IMAX. So it looks like the term "entirely" can be flexible.

No, this is very much the first feature to be shot entirely on IMAX 15/70
