The only reason "Elon Musk's favorability went down" is because Trump doesn't like him anymore. As much as I'd love to claim this as a win (and I guess it kinda is in a way), all it really is is another disturbingly scary indicator of what a cult MAGA really is.
It is, but it's also important as a signal to other powerful people to not get into bed with Trump as they are likely to get burnt by his idiocy. The less people that work with him, the less power he has. It's why all his allies are the stupid and incompetent, for the most part. It's just sad that they still get so much support.
Maybe. Who knows how people will interpret this on an individual basis. Cowards will take it as a sign not to fuck with Trump. Pragmatists might do as you say, and avoid having anything to do with him. Narcissists will think they can do better than Musk and avoid his missteps. And Bullies will smile and say this is why they love and identify with Trump even more.
Its a nice thick Toxic Soup that the American people are being force fed.
Yet Trump just put a stop to states running fiber across large areas that would have helped more rural areas have network options and slowing network infrastructure advancements that began planning in 2021. Guess who benefits from such? Musk. There aren't very many competitors for that market
And to think, sitting democratic legislators saw this and wanted to ally themselves with musk.
He should be a pariah.
The best elon has to do is sell his shit and go into remission. It's still a win to get rid of him, but he's still going to be useful to maga as a scapegoat for everything that goes wrong regardless.
