Met an Iranian uber driver 5 days ago who admitted to illegally immigrating 10 years ago and for some reason brought up that she’s been pulled over more than 25 times for speeding in her personal car. She also said her full time job was pastor at a Christian church which is why she had to leave Iran. She voted trump. She said he’s good because he’s tough (whatever that means now). I’m convinced that they’re deporting their own base.

I have sympathy for her and people in similar situations and take issue with any suggestion that they deserves this. But I also can't help but feel her plea for unity is disingenuous and hypocritical. It's great that she's seemingly on board with unity against fascism now but going forward I don't trust she or people like her will have anybody's back but their own.

This is why when I see conspiracies on here that Kamala won but trump rigged the election makes me angry. When you say that you're understating that so so so many Latinos and Latina's voted hard for Trump and the Fourth Reich. Because they thought they were protected and everyone else was a useless eater urchin that deserve to be deported.
