i love how miserable they look at being voluntold to do this lmao

[-] SerLava@hexbear.net 17 points 1 day ago

Yeah nearly ever comment is "omg are you going to war" or just making fun of them and they have very little to respond to

Update: the first one is a bit of an out-loud reader, and I got him to read my comment out loud in his crowded barracks

"DESERT YOUR UNIT"

All last weekend my fyp was brigaded by chud text posts where they try to act tough about the "radical libs protesting" and I still don't know what I did to deserve it. I barely ever talk to libs or chuds on there and my feed is mostly communist creators and stuff about autism...

My greatest fear is probably being realized about the "behind closed doors" stuff that happened to keep TikTok in the states. My favorite thing about the app was that the feed alg tended to stay with your interests instead of trying to bait you like FB does.

My feed completely changed when I traveled to US. Itโ€™s shocking actually

[-] roux@hexbear.net 5 points 23 hours ago

I'd be curious to know how it changed tbh.

[-] quarrk@hexbear.net 3 points 18 hours ago

Nothing surprising. Way more reactionary, especially individualistic. Fitness (the aesthetic, โ€œbe an alphaโ€ kind), explaining how stocks work, how to plan your retirement, how works, complaining about some interaction with a drive thru employee, grindset mindset nonsense (how to deal with alienation by doubling down your efforts). Just a microcosm of the experience of the US at the moment.

God damn the DoD is cringe

I hope they get bullied off the platform like that one time they tried to stream on Twitch

[-] Awoo@hexbear.net 18 points 2 days ago

Unfortunately it's really really difficult to bully people on tiktok because of the ai moderation is tuned to be extremely heavy handed. Saying anything remotely mean in any context gets instant removals, I hate it.

[-] SerLava@hexbear.net 17 points 1 day ago

It really is the worst. You have to be extremely creative. Like I wouldn't even say "you're wrong" in a TikTok comment. You definitely can bully people but it's like a unique literary puzzle each time.

[-] Awoo@hexbear.net 13 points 1 day ago

I found that a single word "pit" response doesn't trigger anything which is nice.

[-] SeducingCamel@hexbear.net 5 points 1 day ago

It's crazy that I'll just see hard r n word but if I call someone dense I get an account strike

[-] ArsonButCute@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 1 day ago

Unless the victim is trans! Then the hateful content gets boosted it seems.

The nteenth time I had a report come back as "we found nothing wrong" was when I deleted my account

[-] BountifulEggnog@hexbear.net 9 points 1 day ago

I love how acceptable it is to hate us

[-] Llituro@hexbear.net 8 points 1 day ago

I think most of my TikTok comments in the last six months have been removed for being too mean. Very silly. Even just ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ– on a cop post

[-] WizardOfLoneliness@hexbear.net 5 points 1 day ago

Saying anything remotely mean in any context gets instant removals, I hate it.

I hate shit like this so much. It's part of what killed reddit for me, seeing effort posts just be automatically deleted because I said too many swear words or what the fuck ever.

[-] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 2 points 1 day ago

I get a lot of YouTube comments deleted for IDK what. If I have 2 comments on a video both saying "fucking lol," one of them gets removed and the other stays.

[-] Robert_Kennedy_Jr@hexbear.net 16 points 2 days ago

Sure they're leaning on TikTok to play ball and push the propaganda streams, would be real unfortunate if someone decided to ban the platform.

[-] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 19 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

A hilarious counter-psyop by Iran would be if they showed pics of the (US) troops and announced a huge number of incoming organ donors and dog food

[-] Robert_Kennedy_Jr@hexbear.net 27 points 2 days ago

fellow-kids Does anyone else think it's totally based and Chad pilled to defend freedom and their country???

[-] propter_hog@hexbear.net 14 points 1 day ago

I would consider it an honor to lose my leg for israel, can I get an amen?

[-] SerLava@hexbear.net 25 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Deleted comment, disappeared suddenly, just stared blankly, banned, said something in germany-cool and deleted comment

Oh and one of them banned me before I could take the screenshot of "damn, recruiters are DESPERATE desperate"

About half of these troops mentioned that they were doing the tiktoks on duty and one said "oh yeah man they want us to come on and answer any of your questions"

[-] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 12 points 1 day ago

Judging by some of the comments in your screen shots this recruiting duty isn't going to work lol

[-] Azarova@hexbear.net 9 points 1 day ago

Funny how this is exactly how the US army twitch channel went too. The chat was full of people calling out US war crimes and making fun of the soldiers being forced to stream.

[-] abc@hexbear.net 15 points 2 days ago

genuinely don't think this is the 'DoD' but instead the fact that the average soldier is a fucking stupid horny boy & stupid horny boys love preening online lmao

[-] SerLava@hexbear.net 15 points 1 day ago

It's a huge sudden increase and they're on there saying they are getting paid to do it and not even being horny
