In an ideal world this would also ban “rewards” discount programs that every fucking store and restaurant has now
it's so cute when politicians in the USA act like the government has power over capital
The Dems are going to join the GOP on voting this down and it's going to fail by like 10-425
and even if it passed (it wont) it would be massively watered down, include a tax break for silicon valley companies, and within three years there would be a massive violation of the law exposed by a whistleblower that would end in a ruthless prosecution (of the whistleblower)

I assumed surveillance pricing was paying to have privacy (or not paying and not having it). It was silly of me to imagine privacy being an option.
this is a great idea they should bring this to whatever federal body makes laws.
