"Those young women were my property!" vibes.

He just keeps digging the hole deeper... for anyone with a brain.

[-] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

Unfortunately, the “brain” is missing from a lot of people.

[-] lukaro@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 week ago

You mean republicans, don’t confuse them with people.

[-] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 week ago

And some democrats. Let's stop thinking that everyone is defined by the party they belong to.

Shut the fuck up. Don't pretend this is some both sides shit. Establishment dems are guilty of corporate appeasement and corruption. Child sexual predation and abuse isn't an endemic issue within the party like it is with Republicans.

[-] azron@lemmy.ml -5 points 1 week ago

I love comments like this. They show how similar each side is.

[-] drhodl@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

There's NO equivalency, magat!

[-] Petter1@discuss.tchncs.de -1 points 1 week ago

This is not a maga comment, this is comment that points out that general hate against anyone seeing themselves as republicans is as stupid as republicans hating anyone seeing themselves as democrats.

If we let us be blinded by hatred, only suffering will follow

In first past the post system, you're either for or against. Clearly you've made your bed, be prepared to sleep in it.

[-] Petter1@discuss.tchncs.de 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

If I would live in America, I would not fight against republicans nor democrats.

I would fight against gerrymandering, against the pardon rule, against winner takes it all, against death penalty, against no absolute majority requirement, against hate in general, against police brutality, against unregulated capitalism, against destruction of nature, against CO2 pollution, against frekking (damn no clue how to write that, but what I mean is the way of getting gas that makes burnable gas coming out of the water giving thingy above the sink), against in-transparency of government (make it more transparent and better controllable by demo (demo is the word for all the people living there and is part of the word democracy (democracy meaning power to the people))), against healthcare only being accessible if you are rich, and against all the things I forgot on this list.

[-] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

If you lived in America, the Republicans would be putting you in a fenced off area with tents, with minimal food and water, and with no ability to contact a legal representative.

Because people aren't choosing the DNC, this is happening to people just like you. The things you listed are happening because people don't support the DNC. Progress isn't happening because the DNC haven't had more than 50 seats in over a decade, conservative reforms are actively making everything worse over time.

[-] Petter1@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 week ago

I don’t think DNC would do that as how it is now, there is more reform needed than just voting for DNC.

I was thinking this, like wow dude what a way to keep digging deeper. Please keep asking him the same thing on different days and just let him bury himself

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

He's talking about "stealing" someone like they are property, FFS.

[-] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 week ago

As Jon Stewart said, the biggest crime trump thinks epstein did was poaching his people, not that they were traficked and raped.

“I told him, I said, listen, we don’t want you taking our people, whether it was spa or not spa. I don’t want him taking people. And he was fine. And then, not too long after that, he did it again. And I said, out of here,” he said, describing Epstein as having “stolen” his spa workers.

Asked point blank if one of them was Giuffre, who died aged 41 by suicide earlier this year, he replied: “I think she worked at the spa. I think so. I think that was one of the people.”

“I don’t know. I think she worked at the spa. I think so. I think that was one of the people, yeah, he stole her,” Trump added. “And by the way, she had no complaints about us, as you know, none whatsoever.”

[-] floofloof@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

That's because Trump thinks raping young women is a normal and unproblematic thing to do.

I also kept wondering who are all the staff that kept that pedo island going? From cooks to pilots, and I guess they came from trump and that makes sense. What I wanna know now is where are all those people now? This wasnt a one man operation

[-] Ulvain@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 week ago

They're interviewed in a documentary from a few years ago... And quoted again in the articles posted here yesterday.. clearly some don't ask don't tell mentality folks..

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/crime/jeffrey-epstein-island-where-virginia-giuffre-visitors-b2740242.html

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

What was the documentary?

[-] Ulvain@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 week ago

So, ummm... why did Trump have underaged girls working at his spa in the first place?

[-] ryannathans@aussie.zone -1 points 1 week ago

Is it illegal for 17 year olds to get jobs in the US?

[-] 7112@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

It's illegal for 17 year olds to give jobs

[-] fluffykittycat@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 week ago

No, but this guy was an international child sex trafficker so we gotta ask

"Epstein and I were certainly not friends! He stole one of my underage victims. . . Do you have any idea how much grooming it takes to persuade a child to fuck fat sweaty old men in a golf club bathroom? Without crying too much? Do you?! I did all that work, she belonged to me, he stole her. We fell out way before he put my name in his files."

Hahahahahhaa woah woah woah. Did he just admit further culpability and involvement?

[-] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 week ago

He's never had the honor of further culpability and involvement.

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Yeah, so what? It's not like he is ever going to suffer any consequences for it...

[-] FanciestPants@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Trump: And so then, four years later, I banned him from my resort.

[-] Prethoryn@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

"And by the way she had no complaints about us, as you know." This sounds entirely like there were complaints but also, SHE WAS FUCKING UNDER AGE TRUMP! Come on dude?! Like shut the fuck up. It isn't about complaints towards you it is genuinely about a guy, you knew, that you won't release files on doing shit with your business and you told him to "quit" what did you do to protect your actual employees and these young women.

It is just like, how the fuck is Trump not under investigation is it just shady as hell. If you are a federal agent reading this I just don't know you can't be ashamed of your country.

[-] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago

C,mon America! Find your shame again. Where is your moral outrage? This is greater then Republican vs. Democrat. The world is watching.

[-] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 week ago

So, your organization failed to protect its employees from a predator?

[-] Wazowski@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

republicans are disgusting, worthless filth.

[-] lukaro@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Why talk so highly of them?

[-] Kurious84@lemmings.world 1 points 1 week ago

That's Epstein only crime per trump.

He's not like us!

[-] Pavidus@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Let's pretend for a second that this actually happened, and Trump was actually upset about it. Where's the lawsuit? Trump makes habitual use of the legal system for every grievance he has in the world.

[-] Petter1@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 week ago

I personally don’t think Epstein did kill himself… (it is written as fact in the article)

[-] Drusas@fedia.io 3 points 1 week ago

I don't firmly believe that he did or did not kill himself--though I lean towards he did not--but I take great offense to how every news organization reports suicide as fact when it's quite questionable.

[-] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I wondered who Epstein would have “poached” that would cause such a falling-out. Now I wish I didn’t know.

[-] foggy@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

You cannot posses a person so you cannot steal a person.

Its called kidnapping. Human trafficking.

[-] Kurious84@lemmings.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

It makes sense that he's phrasing his guilt around a complaint like "stealing" employees. Uh huh. Liars always use some truth to hide their lies. I suspect it was a good source of girls for Epstein. I'm sure Trump wasn't aware these girls were stolen to go to the island.

[-] Trainguyrom@reddthat.com 1 points 1 week ago

Aaaand now I'm wondering if Trump's Mar-a-lago club is also a hotspot of sex trafficking where I wasn't before!

[-] porsche13@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago

Maybe they are telling the truth about the Epstein files being a hoax. Because it’s actually the Trump files.
