In March this year, Canada had promised it would welcome 15,000 migrants from the western hemisphere. Two days later, the unofficial border crossing at Roxham Road was closed.

I mean in the numbers we're talking about 11,000 is kind of a rounding error.

To improve the birth rate maybe make housing affordable, not bring more people in who will realize how expensive it is to have kids and then not have kids either.

Agreed, but we need people, if we're not making any then we need to import them. Idk about you but my province has an aging problem.
