I cannot put into words how much EA has killed Titanfall.

[-] HenryDorsett@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

I didn't even realize it was related.

I mean, I'm old. I spend more time on the computer working than gaming, fuck, more time paying bills and talking to dying relatives than gaming.

God, fuck EA sideways with collapsing 10 foot pole that extends at the most entertaining time - at least for the rest of us.

Aside from being in the same universe, what's the connection? There's no story impact that I can see.

In ordert to watch it, you'll have to install a launcher in your tv. You'll have to create an account (can link from your streaming service) and install an anticheat that is compatible only with a portion of the tvs in the market.

Of course, there will be a season pass (paid separately) where episodes will be released at a regular pace.

Also, some episodes will come with a requisite to increase the sense of pride and accomplishment: watching the ending of the episode will depend on wether you have the ending accessory in your account or not. That accessory is obtained in lootboxes that you can purchase in the series store.

Evidently online only, and soon enough they'll retire the show from the service taking away your own accessoried in the process. But don't worry, a similar reboot with almost the same story line will be available at that point: "Apex Season 1: 2"

Woah, do you guys hear that?

It’s the sound of nobody giving a fuck.

I’d rather it back on Linux first :(

Execs are seeing a Fallout, everyone else seeing a Borderlands.
Would be a weird day to have execs be right.

I'd prefer to see it adapted into a campaign or battlefield 32v32.

[-] J92@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Isn't the campaign just titanfall 2?

[-] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 2 points 4 days ago

Not from what I saw. They're different games.

[-] dreadbeef@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 4 days ago

same world/universe though

[-] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 3 points 4 days ago

Oh. I am un-familliar with the lore. I was talking about the mechanics. I liked apex but I don't enjoy the battle royale game style.

[-] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 days ago

I was talking about the mechanics.

I'm genuinely confused about what you want. Have you played Titanfall 2?

[-] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 1 points 4 days ago

Have you played Titanfall 2?

Only the campaign.

I’m really excited for this, there’s limitless opportunity for great stories in the world of Apex Legends.

Just kidding, sounds terrible

There was that one sitcom that did an episode entirely in The Sims... Does that count?
