I unthinkingly said "Remember to punch a [not see] if you see one, and have a great day." But, I spelled it out. (I don't want to get banned here, too, because I dunno if that's disallowed here, too.)

Yeah, I know, I just wasn't thinking, and said what was in my heart.

Oh well.

Reddit wants me to shut up, but my late dad would be proud of me, and that's what matters most.

[-] Little8Lost@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Regional differences apply but it would not shock me if they found maga hats in the houses of german nazis

The red hats are also a dead giveaway

[-] AmidFuror@fedia.io 1 points 2 weeks ago

You don't like their opinions, or you see someone else punching them.

[-] BurgerBaron@piefed.social 2 points 2 weeks ago

Less so on the .world instance.

[-] Boddhisatva@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

It should be required.

[-] Proprietary_Blend@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago

It's all good here. Unless you disagree. Then you're a Nazi

Fuck Reddit, punch Nazis.

[-] 5oap10116@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Every day is punch a nazi day =]

[-] SpikesOtherDog@ani.social 4 points 2 weeks ago

The problem with catering to Nazis is that one they think it is safe then they bring their friends. Eventually you will have Nazis everywhere. Paraphrased.

I used to think that all speech needed to be protected, just to keep myself safe. The thing is that once you start saying harmful things then something needs to be done. When you play their games and say hurtful things, they use the same rules used to protect you to get you removed.

This is why hate groups should not be legitimized. Hate speech should not be protected. Saying punch a Nazi and punch a ethnic, gender, racial, national, able,???? group you can't control is not the same. I personally cut religious groups slack.

If I missed or misidentified anything, it is ignorance over malice.

Remember to punch a nazi if you see one.

Remember to punch a [not see] if you see one, and have a great day.

This is Lemmy, friend.

You’re very likely to get banned for not saying “punch a Nazi”

[-] njm1314@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Not if Jordan has anything to say about it

[-] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 weeks ago

Actually, only a small number of people here incite violence and justify their violent fantasies by calling people nazis. And those that do, are feds.

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Always incite violence against Nazis/Fascists.

[-] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 weeks ago

You're a fed, a goon, a literal fascist.

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Naw dawg. I just happened to pay attention and pass my history classes.

[-] Cethin@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 weeks ago

I think Lemmy.world does have some rules about calls to violence, but it's not as bad as reddit. Still, I'd recommend a different instance if I were you. They're the largest one, but you get the same experience anywhere else without being part of Reddit 2.0.

Calling for violence is still calling for violence regardless of who ur calling for violence against

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Ok. But it's good to call for violence against Nazis/Fascists.

So it is acceptable to call for violence against those you believe are detrimental to society?

[-] sad_detective_man@leminal.space 0 points 2 weeks ago

I'm a baby and never heard of the tolerance paradox before :(

I think I'm educated and never read the sentence immediately proceeding Karl Popper formulation of said paradox.

[-] sad_detective_man@leminal.space 1 points 2 weeks ago

then at least somebody believes in your ability to comprehend the basic concept of violence. 🫂 but maybe shut the fuck up when people who are poddy trained are talking.

[-] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago

I got banned for telling someone to their genocide idea "you first"

[-] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Which sub were you in?

Edit: OP's story didn't happen. And OP has never punched a nazi.

[-] CaptainBasculin@lemmy.bascul.in 1 points 2 weeks ago

If you're afraid your instance might ban you, you can feel free to switch to another one. Both can access same content.

Remember to punch a nazi if you see one, and have a great day.

[-] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 1 points 2 weeks ago

It's still very funny when people flex their karma. And it's not even on reddit.

[-] Kazel@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 weeks ago

welcome to .world where they will perma ban you

[-] HalifaxJones@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

I didn’t have a million karma. But they perma banned my 12 year old account because I supported Luigi.

[-] Goodmorningsunshine@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Saying punching Nazis was fine got me banned from there. It's a badge of honor. Fuck Nazis and reddit with em.
