Unions and legal strikes were made possible because everyone agreed they were better than the alternative, which was factory workers dragging the owners into the streets and beating them.
I think they've forgotten this lesson.

What are they going to do, fire all of them if they don’t bend the knee? I’m sure they’ll be able to find thousands of trained people immediately.
People need to stand up for themselves and refuse to go back to work. If the government keep getting away with it, they'll keep doing it.
You can't force people to work.
I'm not disagreeing with your sentiment. The thing is people got to eat etc. we need a way for people to go on strike and the rest of us to join them if our government pulls this shit.
How about we pay the 12million that the CEO makes out to the flight attendants, I bet those exec salaries would go far.
There's about 10,000 Air Canada flight attendants. Dividing the CEO's salary would give them each about $1200. It's not nothing, but it's nowhere near enough money to "fix" the strike.
Because fuck unions, amirite? Get back to work, peasants, the bankers want your loans paid back.
What's going on Canada?
