Merging the PR and merging into traffic!

Half-assing two jobs at once

[-] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 34 points 6 days ago

Ok, obviously merging while you merge is super dangerous. Almost as dangerous as using light mode on your phone. The rider should've known he was a sociopath just from that.

[-] BJ_and_the_bear@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago

Hey, I prefer light mode. There are dozens of us!

[-] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 16 points 6 days ago

Nothing in life really prepares you for meeting such an unfathomable being...

[-] buttnugget@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago

It’s mind blowing but there are people who really do prefer it! Don’t forget to leave an optional light mode for them!

[-] lessthanluigi@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 6 days ago

20 years ago, everything was light mode.

Anyway, I have it set to time of day, so it switches between the two

[-] portuga@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

Actually try thousands of years. God invented light mode when he said “let there be light”. He was cut off mid-sentence but he was gonna say “mode”

Somebody tell that dude that having a "bus factor" doesn't mean you should actively seek getting run over by a bus!

[-] outerspace@lemmy.zip 6 points 6 days ago

This is a concept known as CAC (configuration as code) - the driver made changes to the route, making the change visible, reversible, safe, auditable and testable. It's also great for the PRs merged per day metric!

As long as the maniac with his model planes isn't around that should be safe.

[-] Zozano@aussie.zone 25 points 6 days ago

You know those motorised lifts they install in old peoples homes to help them get upstairs?

Those things drive me up the fucking wall.

[-] buttnugget@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

Do you create Puerto Ricos while you’re being driven up there?

[-] psud@aussie.zone 2 points 6 days ago

They're good for holding a phone for mapping and the like, where you don't touch the phone
