My choice would've been 3 or 1 just by how they feel in my hand, but I got a new .3 Kuru Toga and god it's too smooth for me not to choose 4

This man has not seen the "SSS-class suicide player from another world after the fall meets the villaness after returning as the reincarnated max-level hero to save the world from the Tower" manhwa catalog yet

No need, there's an unmaintained javascript library for that (written by a 12-yr old)

Let R be a communist ring... (discuss.tchncs.de)

cross-posted from: https://discuss.tchncs.de/post/29979244

Clearly it must be (left) noetherian! (Since we wouldn't want a ascending subnormal chain that doesn't stop where all of the elements are enjoyed by the larger ideals/submodules) :)

Sorry, writing "R is comm(unitive)" so many times can make you do things

Might be enjoyed here xd

A really beautiful piece by my former composition teacher. This is the one that really inspired me to someday compose my own music. Unfortunately, I lost contact with him after he had lost someone close to him I think, but I'm happy that he looks like he's doing well. Please enjoy!

Hello everyone,

There's a rhythm that I like but I'm not all too familiar with its name. Here are some examples:

It could be that they're not related at all and I just like hearing double time, but I think I've heard the term DnB before, but I've never had it properly defined. Thanks!

I shouldn't have had to check the community

Legitimately my second thought, but I thought I'd get shut down here xd

I wanted to maybe start making PeerTubr videos, but then I realized I've never had to consider my voice as part of my threat model. A consequence that immediately comes to mind is potentially having your voice trained on by AI, but I'm not (currently) in a position where others would find it desirable to do so. Potentially in the future?

I'd like to know how your threat model handles your personal voice. And as a bonus, how would voice modulators help your voice in/prevent your voice from being more flexible in your threat model? Thanks!

What's the deal with Signal? (discuss.tchncs.de)
submitted 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) by LGTM@discuss.tchncs.de to c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

I don't know if I'm opening a can of worms here, and I'm still trying to backtrack a lot of history where I was tuning everything out. I keep seeing random swipes at Signal (or the representatives (?)), and I was wondering whether they are founded or just lies.Is it another situation like Lemmy where we just "take the technology and move on"? Thanks!

I keep thinking of the old rolling ball on the bottom of mice when I see hardboiled yolk

What ties it together for me is suggesting that poached egg for Lunch is acceptable, as if they understand the horrors of war experienced during breakfast

OK I can't accept joining a platform with no advertising ID, watching LOTR first movie for the first time (extended edition too), then instantly seeing LOTR content first post

The math background needed to enjoy the video is not very extensive. Grant Sanderson (3blue1brown) explains everything to the best of his ability from a perspective of "discovering mathematics" and helping you "convince yourself" that you could have come to the same conclusion as well (i.e. grasping as much of the proof as you can). And if that goes over your head, then the animations are still really pretty!

My description:

An intreguing video that takes an innocuous problem of finding an inscribed square in a closed, continuous curve and connects it to familiar topologic objects, like the torus (or the coffee mug!), the Möbius strip, and the Klein bottle.

3:04 - The main surface

10:47 - The secret surface

16:45 - Klein bottles

22:38 - Why are squares harder?
