Image is of demonstrators in Italy on October 3rd in solidarity with the people of Palestine as the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank continues; source is this article.

There's way too much going on right now for me to really focus on any one country this week. The aftermath of the fall of the Nepal government has, somewhat surprisingly, reverberated around the world, and not only in countries that are enemies to the West as you'd expect; for example, Morocco's government battle fiercely with Egypt's and Jordan's to be first in line to lick the dogshit off the boots of Zionists, and yet Morocco is currently embroiled in a large protest wave based primarily around a youth unemployment crisis (though their population is also remarkably pro-Palestinian, which generates additional friction). We're also seeing similar protests in Madagascar, Peru, and Paraguay, and perhaps more will come. I'm personally fairly doubtful in the potential for meaningful economic results from these protests (the current imperialist system seems too deeply embedded for a movement that isn't explicitly communist and anti-imperialist to alter conditions), but it is quite possible for new political results at least.

Outside of the developing world, it appears that the unpopularity of western leaders, such as in the UK, France, and Italy, is creating new levels of unrest. In Britain, the political system has become so utterly moribund that even the artificial democracy of a two-party system (more-or-less; the Lib Dems do exist I suppose) no longer suffices, with both Conservatives and Labour gradually sinking. The Reform party appears like it may become the new standard-bearer of the capitalists and petit-bourgeois - that is, the historical wellspring of fascism - and the Left Party (whatever name they eventually choose) may or may not rise to meet the occasion. In France, they're on their fifth Prime Minister in two years, after Lecornu lasted about a month, attempting the liberal classic: promising change, and then appointing the exact same people who have ruled for the last few decades. And pro-Palestinian protests and general strikes have erupted in Italy, in defiance of their rightwing government under Meloni.

While there's plenty of other events (e.g. continuing aggression against Venezuela that might soon erupt into a war) it would be remise of me not to mention the very much ongoing events vis-a-vis Palestine and a potential peace deal there, seemingly supported to some degree by Trump. It could be legitimate, and it could be some big act (very likely the latter, IMO). Both Trump and Netanyahu seem to believe that they're very talented political masterminds, producing manoeuvres and feints that would make Machiavelli blush. Nothing could be further from the truth, and I trust the militant organizations inside Palestine to outplay these American failsons. Hamas and similar groups are not nearly as gullible as the Iranian reformist faction - though few people are!

Danish Jews Criticise Synagogue For Zionist Sympathies: Praises Colonial Violence In Prayers For Occupation Forces

A number of Danish Jews have publicly criticised the Copenhagen synagogue for its weekly prayers supporting the Zionist terrorist organisation "IDF", even as the so-called "state of Israel" carries out a brutal genocide against Palestine.

The criticism focuses on a specific prayer containing disturbing violent and extremist language. The prayer directly blesses "the fighters of the Israel [sic] Defense Forces, who stand guard over our land" and expresses the desire for the indigenous Palestinian population, described only as "our enemies," to be "struck down" and led "under our soldiers’ sway."

The critics emphasise that this is an explicit prayer for a modern military power and not an inherent part of Jewish faith, but a political choice made by the synagogue's leadership. They question why a Danish synagogue should be praying for a foreign militant group.

In response, Chief Rabbi Jair Melchior has admitted that the extremist prayers are being recited but claims they are not for the terror group or the Zionist apartheid regime, but for the protection of individuals. He also acknowledges the prayer has been in the synagogue's Hebrew prayer book for 60 years.

This defence has been debunked by critic Zen Donen, who points out that the prayer is unmistakably for soldiers, not civilians, and is the standard prayer of the IDF terror group. She notes that a simple internet search for "Standard prayer for IDF" reveals the chief rabbi's deception.

Denmark's small Jewish community, historically represented by an orthodox organisation that has traditionally harboured Zionist and Jewish supremacist sympathies, now faces significant internal criticism. A growing number of Danish Jews are publicly rejecting this Zionist alignment, condemning the association of their faith and identity with barbarism and genocide.

The US economy is very good and stable and Americans are doing better than ever!

Number of Americans living paycheck to paycheck soars to 40%, expected to be majority by 2033

News comm post

Inflation and a "vortex" of competing financial priorities have reduced Americans' ability to save for retirement and left a growing number barely able to meet their monthly expenses, according to a recent study by Goldman Sachs.

In its 2025 Retirement Survey & Insights Report—entitled New Economics of Retirement—the investment bank said about 40% of Americans now reported having no spare savings and living paycheck to paycheck, up from 31% in 1997. Of this group, about 74% said other, more pressing costs were limiting their ability to save for retirement.

Goldman Sachs projected that the share of those struggling to make ends meet would rise to 55% by 2033 and 65% by 2043.

China's Ministry of Transport: starting October 14, 2025, special port charges will be imposed on vessels owned by U.S. companies, organizations, or individuals. Special port charges to be levied on vessels operated by U.S. entities, vessels owned or operated by entities with 25%+ U.S. equity or control, vessels flying the U.S. flag, and vessels built in the U.S.

Full translationMinistry Announcement/Notice Announcement of the Ministry of Transport on Imposing Special Port Fees on U.S.-Flagged Vessels

On April 17, 2025, the Office of the United States Trade Representative announced Section 301 investigation measures targeting China's maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding industries. Effective October 14, 2025, additional port service fees will be imposed on vessels owned or operated by Chinese enterprises, Chinese-flagged vessels, and Chinese-built vessels. This action gravely violates relevant principles of international trade and the China-U.S. Maritime Transport Agreement, causing severe disruption to maritime trade between China and the United States.

Pursuant to the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on International Maritime Transport and other laws, regulations, and fundamental principles of international law, and with the approval of the State Council, effective October 14, 2025, the following measures shall apply: vessels owned or operated by enterprises, other organizations, or individuals in which U.S. enterprises, other organizations, or individuals directly or indirectly hold 25% or more equity (voting rights, board seats); vessels flying the U.S. flag; and vessels constructed in the United States. The maritime administration authority at the port of call shall be responsible for collecting the special port dues. Relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

I. For the aforementioned vessels, the special port dues shall be levied per voyage on a phased basis, with the specific rates as follows (any fraction less than 1 net ton shall be rounded up to 1 net ton):

(1) For vessels berthing at Chinese ports on or after October 14, 2025, the rate shall be RMB 400 per net ton;

(2) For vessels calling at Chinese ports on or after April 17, 2026: RMB 640 per net ton;

(3) For vessels calling at Chinese ports on or after April 17, 2027: RMB 880 per net ton;

(4) For vessels calling at Chinese ports on or after April 17, 2028, the fee shall be RMB 1,120 per net ton.

II. Where a vessel calls at multiple Chinese ports during the same voyage, the special port fee shall be paid only at the first port of call. Subsequent ports of call shall not levy the fee. For the same vessel, the special port fee shall not be levied more than five times within a calendar year.

III. The Ministry will formulate specific implementation measures.

Maybe I missed it, but this wasn't posted here. Anyway, it explains why China implemented new trade measures against the US. The mutual tariff pause in May included an agreement that said no new measures are to be introduced until the pause ends or a deal is made. Obviously, the US went for its usual backstab

On September 29, the US Department of Commerce announced a new rule that expands its "entity-list" export restrictions to subsidiaries at least 50 percent owned by a company on the list — a move clearly aimed at Chinese companies. This was widely seen as Washington’s attempt to create new leverage ahead of the next round of China–US talks.

On Wednesday, the US agencies including Commerce Department announced they were adding 15 Chinese companies to its restricted trade list. On Thursday, the Treasury Department said it would impose a fourth round of sanctions targeting on China-based refineries that continue to purchase Iranian oil. In addition, the US will start to charge port fees on Chinese-made freight vessels, starting October 14.

"Israelis" are already talking about a "secret clause" in the ceasefire that would allow them to resume if not all hostages and bodies are returned within 72 hours. The "Israeli" supreme court is refusing to publish the contents of this alleged "clause" due to "security concerns".

You can already see them getting ready to continue at the first opportunity. Disgusting freaks.

Do you remember where you were two years ago?

As for news, talks in Egypt are allegedly going “well.”

“Discussions between mediators and Hamas concluded in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, moments ago.

Sources indicated the meeting was positive and established a roadmap for the current negotiation round. The resistance's delegation confirmed that continued bombing in Gaza challenges the release of captives. The delegation included Khalil Al-Hayya and Zaher Jabareen, who survived the assassination attempt in Doha.“

The recent canonization of Carlo Acutis, the Church's first millennial saint, has renewed fascination with the relics of the UK-born Italian boy, dubbed “God's influencer.” Pope Leo XIV canonized Acutis—who died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15—during an outdoor Mass in St. Peter's Square before some 80,000 faithful.

In recent years, relics such as strands of Acutis' hair, his pericardium—the membrane surrounding the heart—and a piece of cloth touched by the saint have been displayed in churches around the world and attracted hundreds of thousands of faithful to pray before them.

Much of the interest in the now Saint Acutis is related to his love of technology and his talent for programming. One of his main legacies is a website that documents the so-called Eucharistic miracles recognized by the Church.

Acutis was also an enthusiastic gamer. He received a PlayStation at the age of eight, but limited himself to playing only one hour per week, according to interviews his mother gave to the media. Among gamers and religious analysts, there is speculation as to whether the PlayStation controller used by Acutis will be considered a second-class relic by the Church.

Been going over how the television media is reporting the ceasefire. One interesting aspect I've noticed is that they are not reporting any intended troops presence. They aren't talking about the arab forces that are supposed to be installed and they aren't talking about the 200 US troops.

The only reason they would be avoiding this is because it makes Israel look bad, explaining the reason these forces are needed requires explaining that Israel can't be trusted and that they're a necessary protection against Israel breaking the ceasefire. None of the British media is reporting it on the tv at all. Sky, BBC, GB News, none of them mention it. Even when talking about the multi point plan, they just skip over it.

Interesting assertion of what the front lines look like on the Ukraine front.

__

1/ Infantry and armor is under greater pressure than ever

The Ukrainian army has had to move logistics (fuel etc) 40-50km away from the line of contact

2/ Defensive lines don't exist anymore

Because of Ukrainian infantry deficiencies, there are simply burrows occupied by tiny groups of troops

With a distance of 300m to a kilometer between defensive positions

3/ As a result, Russian troops can often simply bypass Ukrainian troops to enter cities

Sometimes, Russian troops can even get so far as to attack Ukrainian artillery crews

4/ Sometimes, Russians set up their positions at one end of a captured chain of trenches, while Ukrainians hold positions at the other end.

'Single burrows are hastily dug depressions in the ground', as Ukrainian media reports

5/ The Ukrainian strategy is for drone dominance of the air to form 'kill zones' that Russia can't advance through

But as Ukrainian commander Stanislav Buniatov of the Aidar batallion writes, these kill zones are rarely achieved - Russia advances

6/ https://eventsinukraine.substack.com/p/frontline-chaos

__

So what this is reading according to this account's take is that Ukraine had been bled white through slow attrition, attempts to plaster over holes in defenses caused by shortages of manpower through drone defenses fall short due to both manpower and equipment shortages. The author asserts the only way to reinforce the areas Russian forces are pressing into is only by the reallocation of human resources from other defensive fronts which in turn further weakens them as well.

Should this be true, the only alternative at this point for Ukraine is to either further sacrifice their future by lowering the age of conscription from where it currently sits at 25 years old or to sue for peace and try to salvage what it can from recognizing russia's claims over its lost territories.

Ukraine may be hoping that with the ceasefire deal in the Levant may free up more resources to be allocated its direction, but they really should be fully prepared to snuff those hopes out in addition to the possibility of being cut completely loose by the west should the United States pursue the unthinkable yet again and attempt to invade Venezuela.

Trump - Xi is a big meanie

“Some very strange things are happening in China! They are becoming very hostile, and sending letters to Countries throughout the World, that they want to impose Export Controls on each and every element of production having to do with Rare Earths, and virtually anything else they can think of, even if it’s not manufactured in China. Nobody has ever seen anything like this but, essentially, it would “clog” the Markets, and make life difficult for virtually every Country in the World, especially for China. We have been contacted by other Countries who are extremely angry at this great Trade hostility, which came out of nowhere. Our relationship with China over the past six months has been a very good one, thereby making this move on Trade an even more surprising one. I have always felt that they’ve been lying in wait, and now, as usual, I have been proven right! There is no way that China should be allowed to hold the World “captive,” but that seems to have been their plan for quite some time, starting with the “Magnets” and, other Elements that they have quietly amassed into somewhat of a Monopoly position, a rather sinister and hostile move, to say the least. But the U.S. has Monopoly positions also, much stronger and more far reaching than China’s. I have just not chosen to use them, there was never a reason for me to do so — UNTIL NOW! The letter they sent is many pages long, and details, with great specificity, each and every Element that they want to withhold from other Nations. Things that were routine are no longer routine at all. I have not spoken to President Xi because there was no reason to do so. This was a real surprise, not only to me, but to all the Leaders of the Free World. I was to meet President Xi in two weeks, at APEC, in South Korea, but now there seems to be no reason to do so. The Chinese letters were especially inappropriate in that this was the Day that, after three thousand years of bedlam and fighting, there is PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST. I wonder if that timing was coincidental? Dependent on what China says about the hostile “order” that they have just put out, I will be forced, as President of the United States of America, to financially counter their move. For every Element that they have been able to monopolize, we have two. I never thought it would come to this but perhaps, as with all things, the time has come. Ultimately, though potentially painful, it will be a very good thing, in the end, for the U.S.A. One of the Policies that we are calculating at this moment is a massive increase of Tariffs on Chinese products coming into the United States of America. There are many other countermeasures that are, likewise, under serious consideration. Thank you for your attention to this matter!   DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”

BURBANK, Calif. (KABC) -- The air traffic tower at Burbank Airport is unmanned on Monday evening as air traffic controllers begin to call out in greater numbers due to the government shutdown.

ABC News was told the air traffic control tower at Hollywood Burbank Airport would be unmanned as of 4:15 p.m. Monday.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) anticipates the airport will be without air traffic controllers until 10 p.m., though they are trying to bring in staffing sooner than that.

https://abc7.com/post/hollywood-burbank-airport-will-have-no-air-traffic-controllers-evening-faa-warns/17952670/

Other airports are facing similar strains as air traffic controllers contemplate why the fuck they're doing this shit without getting paid.

Edit: Delays at Newark Liberty International (KEWR) as well: link Newark lowkey has been short-staffed for a while before the shutdown began, with sporadic lapses in air traffic coverage caused both by staffing and technical issues (a couple radar outages within the past year).

IMPACTING CONDITION: STAFFING / STAFFING

I worry that, just like the wave in the 2010s, this wave is uncoordinated and leaderless. Yet again we have an outpouring of public resentment, in most cases without an organizing force to seize the revolutionary moment.

The majority of spontaneous uprisings will burn out, some will result in revolution like Yemen because there was a pre-existing revolutionary movement that could seize the moment, and others will result in disaster like Libya and Syria because there was pre-existing counterrevolution that could also seize the moment.

It's exciting and terrifying.

New from @MintPress News:

Venezuelan authorities have foiled an attempt by “extremist sectors of the local Venezuelan right” to blow up the US Embassy in Caracas, President Nicolas Maduro announced yesterday evening.

Venezuela’s pro-US far-right is very powerful, and has openly called for a US invasion of the country, that, they hope, would bring them to power.

The goal of the embassy bombing was to blame the government, and provide a justification for an all-out American invasion of the country.

Kenya converts $3.5 billion loans from China into yuan to cut interest (Reuters, 8 Oct)

Kenya has completed converting three railway construction dollar-denominated loans from China into yuan in order to save on interest payments, its Finance Minister John Mbadi said on Tuesday.

The swap, which allows the floating, dollar-based interest rates across the three loans from China Exim Bank to drop into their lower, yuan-based rates, will save the country about $215 million a year, Mbadi told reporters.

Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed.

Mass-tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken Markov chain bot will result in a comm ban.

Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.

Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned.

Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society.
