Serious question: What happens if the senate passes the bill and then Trump won't sign it?
Is the answer "nothing"?
A presidential veto can be overridden with a 2/3 vote from both the House and the Senate. I'm not sure how often that usually happens though
The bill calls for the US DOJ to release Epstein Files. The US Congress also has different Epstein documents. The recent 20,000 emails and the Epstein Birthday book were published by the US Congress and not the US DOJ.
The Epstein Estate might also publish documents. Epstein's brother Mark Epstein gave a press statement today that the GOP would sabotage the US DOJ file release. It is possible that the Epstein Estate publishes more documents if the US DOJ release is blocked or tampered with. The Epstein Estate might be trying to hurt Trump because he killed Jeffrey Epstein.
