No, uneducated minorities is a bonus feature for them.

[-] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 weeks ago

Its not a feature ... it's a goal

[-] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Uneducated nearly everyone is a feature for them.

Not a "bonus" feature in the slightest; I daresay it was an intended result.

When you criminalize ethnic group, then crime becomes the only option.

Can't legally go to school or work then what's left? Work off the books. Child labor. Exploitation.

So uh I’m pretty fucking sure this is an intended consequence

My wife is a teacher at a school with a high immigrant/refugee population. There's legit families here legally being wrangled up by ICE. Mom or Dad being ghosted with students having to be unenrolled and moved to a different family member across the country.

The cruelty is the point.

They are shutting down the department of education so I’d say this is pretty clearly a policy decision to create a permanent underclass with zero education or human rights

I don't know if it's unintended, because many racist parents will say there are too many minorities in schools. This is what they prefer over having less white kids.

[-] flandish@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

unintended? no. everything that these nazis do and create is intended. they want uneducated kids to become future uneducated workers.

Hurting children and schools had always been an openly stated goal of conservatives. How hard they fight public education from day 1? Hard. How often do they propose legislation to hurt teachers, reduce the quality of teaching, and force children into the workforce ill educated and early? Often.

Empty classrooms for the poor (the rich just do whatever anyway) IS the goal since an ill educated population is a controllable one. Fascists always come to destroy the schools.

All part of the design. They are dumping department of education for the same reason. They want education to be only for the privileged, and only teaching what they want taught.

We aren’t there yet, but if you look at the steps they’ve taken it’s quite obvious what their plans are. If it’s not, it’s all spelled out in project 2025.
