The secret is playing by yourself, or with close friends on a private server. I by default don't have to deal with children (at least physically, some of my friends may still be children mentally).
I am thankful for Forkknife because most of the annoying kids who made Minecraft cringe are now playing that instead.
Either I'm tired or the "tism can get worse cause I was genuinely thinking "ForkKnife" was like a knockoff Minecraft that was getting popular because guns or something for a good full minute.

Sure, maybe this one almost never talked about project is leagues ahead of the mainstream project, but, given the absolute wall of text of crash out against the minetest devs, it's probably just another mediocre fork made purely out of hate.
