Cluckin bell -- two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.

Can you translate that for us, like, more descriptively?

I feel like Carol Channing in the boxing Ring

If you count it as fast food, Culver's.

If it's a more "classic" fast food place you're looking for, I'll never say no to a Baconator from Wendy's.

Hello fellow midwesterner!

[-] sopularity_fax@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 months ago

Their Dave's Triple are to die for

[-] pheonixdown@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 months ago

Wendy's is falling off a quality cliff unfortunately, while also driving up prices. Used to go there a lot, haven't been in a while.

[-] fadedmaster@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago

I prefer their mushroom and swiss with grilled onions.

If chicken sandwiches count, there's a relatively new ( to our area specifically ) place that does amazing sandwiches. Raising Caine's.

Otherwise, there's a local fast food place that has some pretty good burgers, even if I almost exclusively get their chicken strips instead. In the interest of not doxxing myself, I'm not saying the name of the place.

My wife and I are in the Midwest for Christmas and plan to get our White Castle fix. It's so bad it's good. My go-tos are a slider with egg and cheese, and a double cheeseburger with extra onion and no pickles

In and out hands down. Wish we had them on the east coast. For this coast I'd say Shake shack if I'm truly craving a fast food type of burger. Sonic's double quarter pounder is great for the price but there aren't any close in my city so mainly a quick go to when traveling. Chili's has yet to disappoint me if you've got an extra 10 minutes to wait or pre-order while on your way to pickup, so wouldn't conser it fast food.

I don't eat fast food very much and can't say I've tried all the options, but I really like the Big Tasty from Tasty Burger.

[-] procapra@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 months ago

Hardee's Frisco. It's delicious.

[-] wieson@feddit.org 3 points 2 months ago

I don't know why the burger of all dishes has had such a victory run. I think it's too simple to be restaurant food and too messy to be home food. I've grown weary of burgers in any and all forms.

PS: 'ate chains. simple as

[-] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Jack in the Box Ultimate Cheeseburger. It just pummels your tastebuds with fat and I like it.

[-] gucken@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago

This may just be a southeast US thing but Cookout's Cheddar Style + Out West Style Double Burgers are excellent. Decent pricing too compared to the downsized overpriced stuff from the major chains

[-] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 3 points 2 months ago

In-N-Out

I make it a point to eat there when I can when I won't anywhere else.

I'll eat at smaller restaurants if I get a chance. I've eaten at George Motz's restaurant in NYC and liked it.

I'll get an In-N-Out Animal Style Burger. I like it.

[-] Jentu@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago

Try whole grilled onion and you’ll leave animal style behind with the tourists.

They fry the burgers with mustard; add grilled onions, pickles and extra burger sauce.

[-] Maeve@kbin.earth 3 points 2 months ago

Hardee's buffalo bleu cheese, but it's not around anymore. Their mushroom Swiss burger is pretty alright.

[-] Bob_Robertson_IX@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 2 months ago

Hardee's used to have a chilli cheeseburger that was amazing. It's been close to 20 years and I still think of that burger.

But, the best was at Swenson's outside of Cleveland at 1 am after a NIИ concert.

[-] Maeve@kbin.earth 2 points 2 months ago

I love chilli cheeseburger. They assuredly do not love me.

[-] ctkatz@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 months ago

wendy's either dave's double or triple depending on how hungry i am, no mayo.

[-] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 month ago

Double Mozza burger from A&W (Canada)

One of the local burger places has an amazing vegan smash burger with potato brioche buns and a home-made sauce to die for. I think that'd count as my all time favorite.

The plant-based nugget burger from Burger King is the only thing I ever go to fast food chains for.

[-] alottachairs@beehaw.org 2 points 1 month ago

Yup, impossible Whopper no mayo add jalapenos. But I really only get those for my mental health as a little treat

[-] IWW4@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 months ago

Fatburger, unfortunately the only one near me went out of business when the owner died.

[-] anon6789@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Burger King Double Bacon Cheeseburger, no pickle. Tastes pretty good and still a good value compared to almost any other menu item.

Close second is Wendy's Double Stack in the Biggie Bag combo. Again, great taste for the price, and comes with nuggets, fries, and a drink.

Son of Baconator if I feel like being a piggie 😇

[-] sopularity_fax@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 months ago

I love Daves Triple with everything except mayo and i do my own ketchup

[-] anon6789@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

I usually dip the burger in additional ketchup along with the fries.

[-] sopularity_fax@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 months ago

Fries on the burger are good too, on the ketchup

[-] Kronusdark@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Whopper from Burger King. No pickles, add cheese and bacon.

[-] rossman@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 month ago

Before it went downhill the filet o fish always made me happy. The tartar sauce with a large piece of fish always felt cleansing.
