Why hasn't Elon Musk killed himself yet?

Fuck Elon, but as for St. Clair, that’s awesome. Good on her. We need more people who know it’s okay to admit they were wrong and change their mind.

I think it’s one of the most admirable qualities a person can have.

Sometimes politicians get a bad rap for flipping positions or sides, like Elizabeth Warren did, but that’s a quality I want in a politician. I want people to say, “I have new information and I was wrong before, lets make it right.”

As a parent, you can be 2 kinds of bigot.

You can be the bigot who after their child comes out to them, maybe struggles but has a change of heart, and comes to terms with it and remains a loving parent.

Or, you can double down and essentially get removed from your child's life.

One can always hope for a change of heart as well... but I think Elon at this point has infinity'd down on his bigotry.

"I will be filing for full custody today, given her statements implying she might transition a one-year-old boy," Musk said.

What did I miss with Elizabeth Warren?

[-] W3dd1e@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 months ago

Oh nothing new. Back in the day she was a republican. She thought Republicans had better economic policies but when she really dug into that and the social issues, she realized it was all bullshit and switched to being a democrat. This was in 1996.

Sometimes I see people give her a hard time about it, but I can respect it.

100s of billions of dollars to his name yet not one child to say "I love you dad". What a sad empty life

He doesn't actually care about his children. To him, all they're good for is a means to spread his genetics. Nothing more.

The lawsuit would only be to hurt his ex; the infant would be handed off to a nanny and never thought about again.

He also uses his children to ward off bullets.

[-] 1orangecat@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

He lacks the ability to show empathy and compassion for anyone to love him.

[-] ArtVandelay@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

He expressly refuses to even try. He is on record stating one of humanity's greatest problems is empathy.

[-] Naich@lemmings.world 1 points 2 months ago

What a sad little man he is.

Her words sound sincere and she's asking how she can further help. Well girl, you've got Goliath banging at your door.

A one year old son. Which means they were together when he already went full batshit crazy.

No empathy for her here. Only feel sorry for their son.

I mean she was 23 or 24 when she said those things. Most of us are total morons at that age.

I hate that there’s no room for atonement and growth in the current conversation. I don’t know anything about her other than what I see in this article, but if she’s genuinely sorry and looking to support the people she hurt, that’s worth a ton. She grew as a person. Good for her.
