This is my case, I'm wondering if it's common

Depends how you define genre.

I would assume the usual porn genres. Country porn, reggae porn, new wave porn, jazz porn, R&B porn, folk porn, prog rock porn, pop porn…

Does "amateur" count? Lol

I think this is much more common in women than men.

Men are generally more visually driven in sexual arousal. Male sexual arousal is more strongly linked to novelty. New visuals = bigger dopamine spike. That makes genre hopping more rewarding, kind of like scrolling endlessly for “the next thing.”

Women, on the other hand, care more about context, story, emotional tone, and dynamics, so fewer genres can satisfy more deeply. Porn is also usually not treated as the primary masturbation aid by women as it is with men. Because of this, they watch porn less often and explore less genres when they do watch it. They usually just go back to the same genres that worked before.

Based on the science, your habits are very common among women. Don't let the comments fool you into thinking you're a weirdo, because you're not. Most of the comments here are written by men, and therefore their answers reflect their habits. So you're fine, and you're not alone.

HA

Hell no. I am not even interested in a single genre in one jerk session.

Definitely not my case.

I think there a smaller list of things I'm not interested in than things that I am.

Yes, trying to wank through all of pornhub in alphabetical order but can never get past anal.

Jokes aside, my tastes have not changed much throughout my life.

Shit, I'm still stuck on Abbey Winters

How many years have you been watching porn

[-] zxqwas@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

About a quarter of a century.

It's a buffet, I sample almost everything.

No one likes everything at a buffet.
