I think this is much more common in women than men.

Men are generally more visually driven in sexual arousal. Male sexual arousal is more strongly linked to novelty. New visuals = bigger dopamine spike. That makes genre hopping more rewarding, kind of like scrolling endlessly for “the next thing.”

Women, on the other hand, care more about context, story, emotional tone, and dynamics, so fewer genres can satisfy more deeply.
