Oh NOW it's a conversation they're willing to have. Not after 20 years of school shootings.

Fucking hypocrite cunts.

[-] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

The NRA and gun rights groups have condemned Trump's rhetoric.

Seems like it's just the UltraMAGA typical bootlickers that are rolling over for Trump.

[-] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 4 points 1 week ago

Anything that fractures the republican base is a plus

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 14 points 1 week ago

So let's see, no Epstein Files, America First is out the window, prices keep rising, and now we're going to restrict the 2nd Amendment.

What exactly is MAGA in for now? The voracious Corruption? The virtuosic incompetence? The Pedophilia? Death Squads spontaneously forming firing squads and executing American citizens in the streets?

Does this look like the kind of freedom you were voting for?

[-] skozzii@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago

All that winning must be getting tiring.

[-] nuggsy@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

The price of winning

[-] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 week ago

Remember when he told people to get over it the day after a school shooting?

But protestors getting murdered I by his this is when he calls for removing guns... From the protestors.

[-] devolution@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Hahaha children are shot in the face. Who cares. A white man packing a concealed weapon is murdered by ICE. Oh noes we must have gun control!

Get the fuck out of here.

Edit: I'm laughing incredulously because the situation is so fucked.

And that white man didnt even USE his gun. So fucking funny.

[-] ZeroPoke@fedia.io 1 points 1 week ago

This isnt new from him. He said take the guns back in like 2018 "Take the guns first, go through due process second"
https://www.c-span.org/clip/white-house-event/user-clip-donald-trump-take-the-guns-first-go-through-due-process-second/4717030

2A still voted for him tho shrugs Something something libs take our guns.

They are clearly trying to ensure that they will never be subject to a legitimate election again. Minnesota is a test for how many constitutional amendments they can break. Presidential term limits are absolutely the target. When the oligarchs no longer need their cult they will repeal the entire Constitution. Welcome to the New Confederacy.

[-] krashmo@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Trump is nearing his life's term limit. A 3rd term from him personally is not particularly concerning. That's still a red line in the sand that we should never allow anyone to cross but I'll be surprised if he makes it through his current term in good enough condition to even pretend to be in charge.

[-] BotsRuinedEverything@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Trump is just a symptom. The christofascists in his ear are the sickness. Trump is there just to bulldoze through the Constitution and establish a one party system.

[-] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

No, Trump is the entire movement. No one else even remotely comes close. It's a personality cult.

Trump is the face. The oligarchs are the movement. What we are dealing with is a long festering tumor that has metastasized. Trump is the irregular shaped mole on the surface. The cancer has been there since the civil war.

[-] nao@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

Who needs term limits when the term just doesn't end

[-] MehBlah@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

Maybe not, but what I see is more ideologically in line with the Confederates than with the Nazis. That was the secret sauce the whole time. They want the entire US government to be reset to the antebellum era and to pick up as though Lincoln never existed.

[-] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

California's strict gun control started with Reagan because he wanted to disarm the Black Panthers. Republicans are pro 2A, as long as it is reserved for white conservative/fascist people.

EDIT: Governor Reagan. So, before he became president, but 100 fold once he got shot.

[-] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago
[-] jballs@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

Surprised that wasn't made today

[-] fizzle@quokk.au 5 points 1 week ago

Settle down people. This isn't what you think it is.

They're using this as an explanation of why Pretti was executed.

They're not suggesting that MAGA dickheads cant carry guns.

While irreconcilable to any thinking person. These two statements can happily co-exist in the minds of idiots.

This whole thing is "rules for thee but not for me".

[-] very_well_lost@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I'll never forget the surprised Pikachu faces on all of those armed MAGA chuds on January 6th when one of them actually got shot.

[-] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

They’re using this as an explanation of why Pretti was executed.

Yeah, and they're saying they should be restricted, moreso than they are. That's not the traditional conservative position.

They're not suggesting liberals can't carry guns either. They're saying neither should carry a gun to a protest.

It's a bizarre position.

[-] Paranoidfactoid@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

"PLEASE TREAD ON ME"

[-] CaliforniaSober@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago

Republicans with the mask off

[-] BioDriver@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

This is definitely a feeler. As soon as the blowback hits he’ll change topic and prevent like he never said it. Of course MAGA will forget it too

[-] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

Will Trump be the one who solves the gun problem in the US?

Nope, because it will be, "Gun for me, not for thee."

[-] RainbowHedgehog@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Just like when gun control was brought to California when the Black Panthers open carried.

[-] Asmodeus_Krang@infosec.pub 1 points 1 week ago

It was wrong then, and it's wrong now. Let's not pretend that Democrats aren't just as happy to disarm minorities as the Republicans.

[-] LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 week ago

We do need gun control. For ICE. Those criminals should not be armed.

[-] grue@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

They should not exist.

[-] MoonRaven@feddit.nl 1 points 1 week ago

But obviously not for registered Republicans.

[-] Smaile@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

hes getting spooked out....

[-] notwhoyouthink@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago

Oh now the ‘tHeY gUn GiT yEr GuNz’ asshat cares about gun control? How long till political affiliation counts as reason to revoke gun permits?

[-] whereIsTamara@lemmy.org 0 points 1 week ago

Well, he tried to say being against Trump is a mental disorder, so that qualifies as a gun restriction.

[-] notwhoyouthink@lemmy.zip 0 points 1 week ago

Geez I’d laugh if that wasn’t actually something that may and could happen.

[-] paper_moon@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

It probably will happen, I'm pretty sure Hitler labeled people against him as having a mental disorder and used that as a further excuse to arrest. Can't find much about it now because anything entered into google even hinting at mental disorder and Hitler or Third Reich comes up with articles questioning Hitler's sanity.

Anyway, Its how they control and dehumanize, just say you're not mentality fit because you're against dear leader.

"Don't Tread On Me" bros warming up, stretching, hydrating, preparing to stoop the lowest they have ever stooped to lick Trump's boots as he ramps up his attacks on the Second Amendment

Best part of this article.

[-] thatradomguy@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Hey guys, I think I heard dingo here say he wants the Epstein files released in full. Let's do him that favor. Long overdo.

[-] Asmodeus_Krang@infosec.pub 1 points 1 week ago

Any individual or any party that wants to disarm Americans is an enemy of the American people. A person that trades liberty for security deserves neither. Especially with what we're seeing now you'd have to be mentally defective to support gun control.

[-] SarcasticMan@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Whaaaaaaaat! The guy who said "Take the guns first, go through due process second" is suggesting they take your guns? Its almost like he says what he is going to do before he does it, Im sure absolutely no one saw this coming.

[-] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

From my cold dead hands, you fat fuck!

[-] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 1 points 1 week ago

What a absolutely tiny minded little putz.

[-] ssfckdt@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 week ago

First he switched the right to pro-tariffs..

Then he switched the right to not-anti-pedophile...

Now switching it to pro-gun-control

Look, can he just hurry the fuck up and get MAGA to support socialism already? I don't feel like waiting this long

[-] fyrilsol@kbin.melroy.org 1 points 1 week ago

He just wants ICE, Fascists, 2A-toters and white rednecks to be armed.

He doesn't want blacks, LGBTQ and enemies of the government to be armed.

[-] shittydwarf@piefed.social 1 points 1 week ago

Well he can't do a fascism if those people are armed!

[-] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I appreciate being right every single time I talk to conservatives about the future.

Trump: 'Take the guns first, go through due process second'

Even their most furious topic boils down entirely to projection.

Unfortunately every time I'm right it's because I have no fucking faith in this nation at all.
