I don't measure myself against racists. That bar is far too low. Same for zionists (fuck off Jerry).

I'm not sure I'd put PayPal on the good side.

Only bad thing is that you need to watch a long series of near constant laugh tracks to see the plots. Ive only seen a few episodes though, so might have a gotten a bad impression of an otherwise good show?

[-] tyler@programming.dev -2 points 2 months ago

Nah, it’s a bad show full of bad boomer humor. And god, laugh tracks are terrible…

What episode would benefit from PayPal that doesn't benefit from cryptocurrency? I've never seen the show, so this is a genuine question.

[-] fishos@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago

Kramer would be completely on board with crypto, which is really the only thing that needs to be said.

[-] cadekat@pawb.social 0 points 2 months ago

Sorry, I have no context for your comment. What about Kramer would've drawn him to it, and why is that (I'm assuming) an insult?

[-] fishos@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago

If you don't know Seinfeld, then why are you commenting in a thread comparing tech to Seinfeld plots? If you have no context, it's your own fault. It's like walking into a library and complaining that there are books. You are aware of what's going on here, right? I worry about you crypto folks sometimes... If this happens to you frequently, you should see a doctor about neurological conditions. Make sure to mention the crypto to them too. I'm sure it'll help speed up your diagnosis.

Dude, chill. I'm not going to watch an entire nine seasons to satisfy a minor curiosity. I wouldn't read an entire library when the librarian can direct me to the specific book I'm interested in.

You replied to me as if I would have any idea what you were talking about, knowing I wouldn't. You were performing for everyone reading this thread instead of engaging in good faith.

"Cryptocurrency bad" is getting real tiring, especially when I'm not even speaking positively about it.

[-] fishos@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago

I'm not conversing in good faith? It's not my job to spoon feed you. But since you apparently need that, here's the Wikipedia for Cosmo Kramer:

If you had put even a modicum of effort in, you'd have already learned the crucial context. But you didn't. Instead, you posted asking others to teach you. And yes, now I'm mocking you because you seemed pro-crypto and are demonstratively lazy.

"he has impractical business ideas" is what I assume you're talking about? I wasn't asking for a description of Kramer in his entirety, just what made you use him as your yardstick. I can't find that on the wikipedia page.

To go back to the original topic, yeah, you're probably right he'd have been interested in cryptocurrencies! I can imagine that an episode about it could've been pretty funny and have ended in making a ton of money only to break even in the end because of greed or poor decisions.
