The slightly bolded "not" really sells it.

[-] echodot@feddit.uk 12 points 3 weeks ago

Why do people buy bottled water anyway. You can get it from fractions of a penny at home.

[-] hoch@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

Some of us don't have trustworthy water supplies and infrastructure

[-] blackn1ght@feddit.uk 1 points 3 weeks ago

I usually think this, but then remember what water down south tastes like.

My tap water comes straight from the alps, better than bottled water 🙃

The UK has a growing problem with contaminated, unreliable tap water.

[-] ThePyroPython@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago

Is it from Dasani Peckham Springs?

[-] yakko@feddit.uk 9 points 3 weeks ago

I would bet my wallet that this water is objectively worse than tap

The label is raising a lot of questions already answered by the label

Water from the ditch round the back, now with no bits!

[-] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 3 weeks ago

But the floaty bits were my favorite :(

Those are vitamins and minerals.

By far, the best part of finding a loose needle in the wild is the tetanus.

Do they have water for tables that can't keep still?

[-] jaybone@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 weeks ago

Those are water tables.

[-] huppakee@piefed.social 4 points 3 weeks ago

Do they also sell no longer table water?

[-] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 3 points 3 weeks ago

If you put it in a bowl it becomes dog water.

[-] jaybone@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 weeks ago

Don’t be fooled by the rocks that I got, I’m still table water from the block.

[-] starik@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 weeks ago

Why can I taste bleach then?

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 weeks ago

because pure spring water without chlorine is how you get cholera, typhoid fever, giardiasis, and hepatitis A.

[-] rants_unnecessarily@piefed.social 1 points 3 weeks ago

I'm pretty sure it is from some tap

For legal purposes, they’ve trademarked the tap water filling spout and have all signed contracts forbidding them from revealing its name.
Ol’ Squirty George enjoys a life of privacy, although not one free of controversy, as people constantly ask “but that’s just tap water, isn’t it?” and then they have to sign an NDA before being told that’s not a tap, that’s Ol’ Squirty George.

When the lawyers come for me, tell my wife I wish I’d planned better.
