Star Trek ebook deals! (www.simonandschuster.com)

There’s a fair amount of Star Trek fan angst and speculation now that production in Toronto has closed down and decisions on the future of both the television and movie franchises are pending under new ownership.

As a friendly reminder and encouragement, Treklit kept many at of us engaged during the last hiatus of production and it continues to offer a vast library of content.

Simon & Schuster, the principal holder of a TrekLit novel publication licence, offers regular discounts on Star Trek ebooks through major booksellers.

The listing at the link is for the United States.

However, similar promotions are available in other countries. The easiest way to find them is to search for Star Trek and set the order to put lowest cost first, or to filter for only low priced books.

Oh neat, the cookbook! We did an AMA with Chelsea Monroe-Cassel back in the Reddit days. She seemed cool.

I vaguely remember owning Best Destiny when I was a kid - that sucker was first published in 1992.

I found The Enterprise War tough to get in to, but once I did, I enjoyed it.

It would be cool to have an AMA with one of the longtime group of tie-in writers for the franchise.

They’ve seen the evolution of TrekLit from the end of the TNG movie era through the Relaunch book universe and back to standalones.

I had no idea the Toronto production studio was closing down. It was only a year ago we were reading about The Star Trek Stage.

Well, it's not closed closed, as far as we know. But filming on SFA is done, and there's nothing active until we hear something about a renewal.

SNW filmed at a different Toronto-area studio that CBS owns directly, but obviously there's no current Trek production there, either.

Ah! Fair. Still bummer news though.

FYI there's good guides online for stripping DRM from. Barnes and Noble books.
