I think corporate greed is the great plague of our age. Every issue we face with regards to limited resources, limited housing, limited representation in government can all be traced back to it.

Having said that, I have no problem with this price increase. I play cover songs for a living, and my job would be exponentially more difficult without Spotify. Hell, I’d pay $30 a month if that’s what they charged. Over a year, an extra $1 a month figures out to… the same amount I spend on coffee in three days. So have at it guys.

I'm so sick of every service charging so much. They start reasonably then become an integral part of my life then raise their prices over and over.

The trick is not to make any service integral to your life. Make sure your usage allows you to change to another service at any point. It's partly because of this they get away with every increasing pricing (see Netflix).

Everything goes up, even your wages hopefully.

As if our wages have gone up in the past 40 years.

If the extra dollars would go directly to the artists I actually listen to, I would be fine with this. But, yeah...

It's not just that, but when money does go to the artists, it's not necessarily the artists you listen to.

Kinda expected it soon. Well, it’s $11.

There are more egregious examples out there.

I think the duo should be more like 13 or 14 but meh.

I could see this going the way of price increases happening quicker now.

That would not be cool.

May as well make it $100. Either way I won't be paying.

Oh no! Hopefully 🤞 it will still be an affordable price.
