1. anybody who's treating others properly can contribute, not just the panellists
2. this means greater diversity of ideas captured
3. this means that it isn't just industry-insiders who are being heard
4. when it comes to vetting/weeding-down, then that may require hiring people, but as with FLOSS, it's managing-the-community-contributions which produces the hugest results..
