Unless I'm misremembering but isn't there a pic of him?

[-] gregorum@lemm.ee 57 points 1 year ago

Many. So, so many. And video. Lots of video.

That made my phone sad. I didn’t know it could do that.

[-] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 48 points 1 year ago

I mean, what's he going to do, admit he wears heels? He's already a laughing stock. The best he can hope for is a distraction which will make everyone stop paying attention to this for a while, so that he can gradually stop wearing them and when it comes up again, he can act like "Oh god, are you still on this?"

Man, you just described the standard GOP playbook.

[-] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 21 points 1 year ago

Less of a playbook and more of a playmat.

Scribbled hastily with crayons and a Sharpie.

Rhonda Santis needs to come out and admit it so the healing can begin.

[-] Im14abeer@midwest.social 32 points 1 year ago

So the heeling can't begin.

Ron has been a heel for quite a while

DeSantis said he's 5'11.

🤣

[-] Assman@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 year ago

It's two numbers. The 5 is his height. The 11 is his high score in pickleball.

"I'm a big fan of yours, but I'm not a big fan of your marketing team," Bet-David said, praising DeSantis' leadership during Covid, but calling his book, released earlier this year, a "miss."

"It was number one in the country for two weeks," DeSantis said about his book.

"That's not a long time though," Bet-David responded.

LOL

"It was number one in the country for two weeks"

Among those who bought it, or those who actually read it?

[-] Riven@lemmy.dbzer0.com 51 points 1 year ago

I've heard it's not uncommon for the team of the person who wrote them to buy all of them up to get it on the top list and then just gift them/chuck them or store them indefinitely.

[-] TigrisMorte@kbin.social 22 points 1 year ago

If you look into it you'll likely find most of the copies were bought in bulk by his campaign, the State of Florida, and a few large donor PACs

[-] Telorand@reddthat.com 14 points 1 year ago

This is why "#1 Bestseller" doesn't mean shit.

Not so much “heels” as they are more “meatball kickstands”.

[-] Godric@lemmy.world 31 points 1 year ago

Say what you want about Trump, but "Meatball Ron" is a 10/10 killshot fuck-you nickname

[-] mateomaui@reddthat.com 11 points 1 year ago

He doesn’t get them as much these days, but that was a direct hit.

[-] ZoopZeZoop@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

Have you seen His hand gestures and talking style lately, He is imitating trump so desperately it is pathetic. Even the most hardcore republican can see that he is a con artist.

[-] Otkaz@lemmy.world 37 points 1 year ago

"Even the most hardcore republican can see that he is a con artist."

Come now, that's giving them way too much credit.

America's Biggest Boy will never be President.

After denying he wore heels, he added, "also, it's pronounced 'thigh food.'"

[-] TubeTalkerX@kbin.social 20 points 1 year ago

He should blame Disney for it and move on.

Ugh, this stuff over height is so silly. None of it matters because they're just variations of shorter than me.

[-] bitsplease@lemmy.ml 67 points 1 year ago

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being short. Lying about your height and wearing ridiculously high lifts, while continuing to lie about it in the face of evidence however is a pretty powerful statement of character on his part. And not a flattering one

[-] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago

Not once have I ever thought Danny Davito or Kevin Hart wasn't talented or presentable because of their height.

The initial video was kind of funny, but we could just focus on how fucking awful he is.

[-] eran_morad@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

Can we stop posting this douchecunt? He’s totally irrelevant.

[-] RubberStuntBaby@kbin.social 11 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Maybe he's non-binary or just identifies as a taller person. I think we should support him. (On this one thing only)

[-] jackpot@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 year ago

his only chance is trump dying or going to jail and it's all his fault for being so insanely unlikable. i had money on him to be the gop nominee last year and i feel awful. not a life changing amount but big enough. how could someone do so well in state politics so consistently and them butcher it every step of the way at the nationals. ron needed to resign as governor day one instead of trying to run with both

[-] FrostyTheDoo@lemmy.world 24 points 1 year ago

Maybe don't gamble on politics

[-] jackpot@lemmy.ml 8 points 1 year ago

this implies i should gamble on other things instead

And then find out Ron DeSantis is wearing 'heels' because he is actually a bitch disguised as an asshole.

I don’t understand. Doesn’t he wear like a men’s cowboy boot-type thing? What am I missing?

EDIT: I see it. Never mind.
