How improbable is it that in 2026 yahoo still exists and it is the first place you hear WW3 might be averted with a totally fine decent article about it?
It’s interesting. I was just about to remark on how they are owned by Verizon, but this is no longer the case as of 2021. They are now apparently 90% owned by some private equity company called Apollo Global Management.
The article in question is decent because Yahoo displays news articles from dedicated news organizations in the same way as MSN.com. In this case, the article is written by AFP (Agence France-Presse).
My favorite aspect is the button that says “Add Yahoo on Google.” This would be an absolutely insane phrase in 2006.
We'll see how long this lasts. Something tells me Israel won't stand still for too long.
While I understand the taco sentiment, I actually think this might stick for a bit. There's a huge amount of back end political pressure on this and Israel is probably feeling it too. Asia & Europe are at their oil breaking points (Asia is in particular struggling to get oil even at inflated prices), and that frankly is most of it, but you also do have the hardware expenditures yearly budgets spent in days. No one except Israel and Iran hardliners really want this war.
Trump doesn't control Netanyahu, and Netanyahu is one of those hardliners. TACO or not, Trump is along for the ride.

I don't beleive myself (at all) as I type this, but maybe the pressure from Iran has had a small impact upon Israel.
