April 20, 2026 Press Release Washington, D.C. — Today, Representative Chip Roy (TX-21) introduced the Measures Against Marxism’s Dangerous Adherents and Noxious Islamists (MAMDANI) Act of 2026.

The MAMDANI Act enacts sweeping immigration law changes that would deport, denaturalize, deny U.S. citizenship, or entry to any alien who is a member of a socialist party, a communist party, the Chinese Communist Party, or Islamic fundamentalist party, or advocates for socialism, communism, Marxism, or Islamic fundamentalism.

Additionally, this legislation creates new definitions for each of these terms and repeals existing loopholes, including chain migration and fraudulent claims, in current immigration law that have facilitated the mass importation of Marxists and Islamists.

“Why do we continue to import people who hate us? Not just for the last six years, but for the last 60 years, our immigration system has been cynically used to disadvantage American workers’ competitiveness in favor of mass-importing the third world. This has not just led to higher crime and lower wages, but also the promulgation of hostile ideologies fundamentally opposed to American values.

By targeting the Red-Green Alliance, this legislation deploys new tools to fight back against the Marxist and Islamist advance that has devastated Europe and has now arrived on our doorstep, especially in my home state of Texas,” said Congressman Roy.

"Admission to the United States is a privilege, not a right. We have absolutely no obligation to open our doors to aliens who seek to undermine the Constitution, dismantle our republic, or champion ideologies fundamentally opposed to American liberties. A sovereign nation must prioritize its own survival and the safety of its citizens above all else. IAP is proud to stand with Congressman Roy in this effort,” said Grant Newman, Director of Government Relations, Immigration Accountability Project.

TLDR: This bill would strip anybody who identifies as a leftist or Muslim of their citizenship and and summarily deports them. The full bill is linked in the article.

the entire document is a bit weird:

(61) The term ‘Islamic fundamentalist party' includes— (A) the Muslim Brotherhood (B) the Islamic State (C) the Al-Nour Party (D) Hamas (E) Hezbollah (F) Hizb ut Tahrir (G) Boko Haram (H) Al-Shabaab [...]

Ah yes, these resistance movements (Hamas, Hezbollah) are totally the same as Daesh (Islamic State), I'm surprised Ansarallah of Yemen wasn't included...

(F) institute or advocate the economic, international, or governmental doctrines of Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Xi Jinping, or any member, official, or revolutionary leader in a Chinese communist party.

I hate them using CCP for this law, but apparently they differentiate 'chinese communism' from just.. communism, and marxism? It's funny how they don't acknowledge anarchists but:

(E) institute or advocate the economic, international, or governmental doctrines of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, or any member, official, or revolutionary leader in a socialist, communist, or Chinese communist party

They differentiate in their definition of Marxism between communist parties and the "chinese communist party".

(55) The term ‘Chinese communism’ means a movement, revolutionary plan, or societal structure, either beholden to the Chinese government or possessing Chinese communist characteristics where political power is sought or used, through violent or other means, by a collective class or group to— [...]

So, if you like Mao or Deng's theory and wish to use it in the USA, woops, apparently you are the same as someone wanting to give everything to the CPC.

(60) The term ‘Chinese communist party’ includes— (A) the Communist Party of China (B) the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (C) the China Democratic League (D) the China National Democratic Construction Association (E) the China Association for Promoting Democracy

[...]

Guess I'm wrong in that it also includes the other parties with the CPC, but why does it matter for a USA Law? I guess it's good they acknowledge there's other parties while coping that the CPC is still 'totalitarian'. They use the term 'totalitarian' as the inclusion of anything not covered by communism, socialism or islamic fundamentalism. Though, their definition of socialism and communism is the marxist definition, so anarchists out there... I guess you're good?

(58) The term ‘communist party’ includes— (A) the Communist Party of the United States, or any section, subsidiary, branch, affiliate, or subdivision of such party; (B) the Communist Political Association, or any section, subsidiary, branch, affiliate, or subdivision of such association; (C) the Communist Party of any State, foreign state, or political or geographical subdivision of such foreign state, or any section, subsidiary, branch, affiliate, or subdivision of any such party;

[...]

(59) The term ‘socialist party’ includes— (A) the Socialist Party of the United States, or any section, subsidiary, branch, affiliate, or subdivision of such party; (B) the Democratic Socialists of America, or any section, subsidiary, branch, affiliate, or subdivision of such organization; ‘(C) the Socialist Party of any State, for eign state, or political or geographical subdivision of such foreign state, or any section, subsidiary, branch, affiliate, or subdivision of any such party;

[...]

So, the electoralists in the DSA are included, probably because of the Mamdani in the room, but the PSL aren't named! Though, they are included due to their socialism in the name anyway...

(B) by striking with the Communist or any other totalitarian party (or subdivision or affiliate thereof), domestic or foreign, and inserting with— (I) a Chinese communist party, (II) a communist party, (III) a socialist party, (IV) an Islamic fundamentalist party, or (V) or any other totalitarian party (or subdivision or affiliate thereof), domestic or foreign,

this is where the 'totalitarian' term is used, and yeah that's all I could find in the document I cared about.

If they include supporting any political views favored by any of the big parties in China as grounds for denaturalisation and deportation, doesn't it mean they could just do that to basically anyone? It's gotta be hard to not agree with one of them on something?

(I'm sure that's the point ofc. To just have legal grounds to throw any political opponent into a concentration camp pending "deportation")

[-] hotcouchguy@hexbear.net 13 points 6 days ago

Ha! My org is far too obscure to appear on any list! Gonna beat the feds with the rumpelstiltskin loophole!

[-] Mangoholic@lemmy.ml 7 points 6 days ago

So any republican gets deported since they are pro totalitarian.

(60) The term ‘Chinese communist party’ includes— (A) the Communist Party of China (B) the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang © the China Democratic League (D) the China National Democratic Construction Association (E) the China Association for Promoting Democracy

Funny how the law has to acknowledge that 1) the name is Communist Party of China, 2) there are other political parties in China.

[-] Lemmygradwontallowme@hexbear.net 13 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

So essentially 'CCP' is the equivalent of Viet Cong for China to these people.

[-] cornishon@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 6 days ago

Also bonus points for invoking the fear of CCCP ingrained in boomer brain.

Yeah, good point.

Texas really needs to be burned to a crisp, actual fucking swamp over here. Literally a direct and continous descendant of a rebellion against anti-slavery laws in the Mexican Empire. Born and raised here too, lol. Shit hole supreme. May the Alamo burn once again.

Was actually a thing in Iran for a short time. Not the most popular but it certainly existed and the people involved were highly dedicated to their synthesis.

the Red Green alliance

Steve Smith portraying the character Red Green, of the eponymous sketch comedy program the Red Green Show. He wears a flannel shirt, suspenders (one green, one red), and a green hat in the style of a Canadian military field cap.

If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you hating the Amerikkkan.

Today, I will show you how to create a self-defense device. First you take this skateboard and this chainsaw. Then you duct tape the chainsaw to the top of the board so that the chain touches the ground and moves the skateboard. Then, uh, well you just get the chainsaw started and point it at the pigs. Then, uh, you let 'er rip. There you have it.

undermine the Constitution

lol, can't have that! Hurry up Congress and pass my law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This certainly begs the question on where they would deport any US-born communists, lmao.

[-] demeritum@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Likely Ecuador or Rwanda, this just the step before concentration camps.

[-] SuperZutsuki@hexbear.net 44 points 1 week ago

It's impossible for anyone born in the US to become a communist. The blessings of white Jesus that only those born in America receive provide permanent protection from the mind-virus of Marxism.
