I misread psyllium as psilocybin which had me slightly confused by the end of the headline, ngl

A psilocybin laxative for cats would recreate what my robot vacuum did when my roommates cat shat on the rug while I was at work.

That sounds like it would just end in a horrible time for cats and scientists.

It also helps (when combined with a tiny amount, like 1/64 tsp, of bone meal) with chronic diarrhea. I had a cat who was sick for a long time and his food needed both in order to firm up his stools enough to express his anal glands naturally.

i was under the impression that the issue was caused by dehydration, not fiber insufficiency?

[-] Signtist@bookwyr.me 8 points 21 hours ago

My cat's certainly was. Switching to wet food with extra water mixed in cleared it up nicely.
