More like "We'll make good value from your privacy"

[-] winterayars@sh.itjust.works 18 points 2 years ago

"Your privacy has value to us [and our 1000 best friends]."

[-] chahk@beehaw.org 5 points 2 years ago

That's "Your privacy is very valuable to us." Do you even corporate-speak?

[-] psilocybin@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Not in English apparently:(

Yours sounds more corporate indeed

Here is an alternative Piped link(s): https://piped.video/watch?v=DJklHwoYgBQ

Piped is a privacy-respecting open-source alternative frontend to YouTube.

I'm open-source, check me out at GitHub.

Thats hilarious

[-] jet@hackertalks.com 46 points 2 years ago

If you have nothing to hide you won't have any problems

[-] Rayspekt@kbin.social 37 points 2 years ago

I like that you are still able to close and lock a door. Imagine holding eye contact with someone while you close the door behind you to get some privacy

[-] SSUPII@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 years ago

I would be down for competitive pissing

[-] Rayspekt@kbin.social 13 points 2 years ago

Can we get glass toilet bowls as well? That way we could jugde anybody's shit during session.

[-] nodsocket@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

That's in the next update

[-] Elephant0991@lemmy.bleh.au 34 points 2 years ago

Our privacy policy is completely transparent.

[-] BlueKey@kbin.social 28 points 2 years ago

Don't you see how this improves law-enforcement? Now the criminals won't dare to do forbidden stuff there.
-- some government, somewhere

Don't you see how this improves law-enforcement? Now the ~~criminals~~ trans people won't dare to ~~do forbidden stuff~~ use the restroom there.

-- some government, somewhere

[-] cooopsspace@infosec.pub 4 points 2 years ago

Meanwhile the criminals are out pissing in the bushes, or a totally different bathroom all together.

[-] Thorny_Thicket@sopuli.xyz 21 points 2 years ago
[-] electrogamerman@lemmy.world 0 points 2 years ago

Well, I dont

[-] ryannathans@lemmy.fmhy.net 12 points 2 years ago

Tungsten glass? The one that goes white when electricity passes through it? Opaque when locked?

[-] manned_meatball@lemmy.ml 19 points 2 years ago

thankfully it's usually the other way around: the glass is opaque and only transparent with power. So you don't need to worry about an ill-timed power outage.

[-] Lev_Astov@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

That's called PDLC film (polymer-dispersed liquid crystal) and it's a thin layer you can apply to anything. It's literally liquid crystal droplets suspended in a plastic sheet layered between transparent ITO conductors (indium-tin-oxide).

A distinctive feature of panels layered with this is that there must be a bezel along at least one edge through which to run the power. I don't see any in the right places on the doors for these, so nope, these are just clear glass without any PDLC film.

[-] ryannathans@lemmy.fmhy.net 2 points 2 years ago

Sure that's one type, but there are others too. Like electrochromic smart glass

[-] EngineerGaming@feddit.nl 1 points 2 years ago

Maybe they are yet to be decirated with "normal" film instead.

[-] WeDoTheWeirdStuff@kbin.social 3 points 2 years ago

They have (had?) those in Tokyo for a while.

[-] Ronno@kbin.social 12 points 2 years ago

You only have to pay €1,- for each visit!

[-] lowleveldata@programming.dev 11 points 2 years ago

Little did they know that it's exactly my thing.

[-] troyunrau@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 years ago

Not that weird, from a historical or regional perspective. Most of the history of humankind did not feature bathroom privacy. Toilets in rural China are basically lines of rectangular holes cut in the floor.

[-] EatMyDick@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

So this is a straight up meme sub now?

[-] A_A@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago
[-] SSUPII@sopuli.xyz 13 points 2 years ago

This is a very old image, so extremely likely real or manually edited.

[-] Irishred88@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

I'm guessing art installation, I can't imagine why one would build the stalls like that otherwise.

[-] leraje@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Bathroom or Black Lodge?

[-] raubarno@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago

Romans had this system 2000 years ago!
