Every vegetarian and vegan has been offered something like this at least once.

[-] Ghoti@geddit.social 5 points 1 year ago

I am a vegetarian, this is not a lie

[-] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Don't you love when the only option is a salad? One day my dinner was green beans and a glass of wine.

[-] Ghoti@geddit.social 3 points 1 year ago

I’ve also experienced the bread rolls and water treatment lol

Like is it that hard to have one veg dish? The chef Jen Agg argues that that wasn't the point of her restaurants, but how do you call yourself a hospitable industry if you only serve carnists?

[-] Ghoti@geddit.social 4 points 1 year ago

That’s why I primarily eat at Mexican and Indian food restaurants. In my experience those two are the safest cuisines to eat

[-] Axium@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

but how do you call yourself a hospitable industry if you only serve carnists?

Because omnivores make up 99% of their costumerbase?

The last picture 😂 It's just the whole fucking can

Imagine biting into it

[-] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Listen, going veg doesn’t have to be hard if your baseline for meat was ramen you microwaved in a measuring cup

[-] EremesZorn@beehaw.org 7 points 1 year ago

Are you okay?

[-] Default_Defect@midwest.social 7 points 1 year ago

The microwave burrito I'm eating is basically this.

[-] stebo02@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 year ago

That's the most on-point comment for this. This is sad times food, there isn't even hot sauce to turn that frown a little bit. This is resignation at its absolute core.
Damn, man...

Didn't even warm the tortilla!

Should wrap the bean can unit in slices of Kraft. Adds another ingredient, but it would be amazing.

Yo, rosarita spicy refried beans hit tho. Good thinking

[-] account_93@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

Thanks, I hate it.

[-] ActualShark@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 year ago

It's even vegetarian!

[-] wallmenis@lemmy.one 3 points 1 year ago

So that is the legendary Bowser's big bean burito!

[-] fadingembers@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago

I've tried a lot of canned refried bean brands and I think I would rate rosarita towards the bottom honestly

[-] Tiefa@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I really only know that brand. What are some good ones?

[-] fadingembers@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago

I like old el paso better and it's usually sold in the same places. There's also one called Goya that I really enjoyed. I highly recommend experimenting yourself and seeing what you like!

[-] Tiefa@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I definitely will. I seem to always get refried beans for my burritos and I get home and say to myself, "these are gross, why did I buy them" rofl. I'll have to branch out and try other brands. Thanks for the reqs!
