If this were the 1300s France would be looking to invade.

True, regardless of the rest.

[-] modifier@lemmy.ca 53 points 8 months ago

Macron has seemed rather bellicose of late...

[-] Jaderick@lemmy.world 15 points 8 months ago

Right? Who said this isn’t France’s plan?

[-] Balinares@pawb.social 24 points 8 months ago

What would France even do with UK though, have you seen the absolute state of the thing?

[-] Jaderick@lemmy.world 29 points 8 months ago

First order of business: introduce quality cuisine to the savages

South Asians: We're trying!

What's this about the king treating his cancer withe herbs?

[-] DessertStorms@kbin.social 53 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

Charles is a long time advocate for homeopathy, even appointed a homeopath as head royal doctor.

[-] Albbi@lemmy.ca 55 points 8 months ago

Oh.

Oh yeah he dead like Steve Jobs.

[-] Zoidsberg@lemmy.ca 13 points 8 months ago
[-] Asafum@feddit.nl 10 points 8 months ago

...no, wait. not that one.

[-] Skua@kbin.social 20 points 8 months ago

Ahh, Charlescuterie

[-] DessertStorms@kbin.social 7 points 8 months ago

🤞🤞🤞

[-] waigl@lemmy.world 33 points 8 months ago

Homeopathy is not "herbs", though. Compared to homeopathy, herbs as a medication would have seemed lika a sane choice. At least herbs actually do have some medically relevant substances in them sometimes. Probably not the ones you need to treat cancer, but still, a hell of a lot more than the literally nothing that homeopathy brings to the table.

[-] evatronic@lemm.ee 16 points 8 months ago

a hell of a lot more than the literally nothing that homeopathy brings to the table.

Lies. Homeopathy gets you a well hydrated corpse.

You asked what it was about, and I told you.. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

That isn't treating it with herbs. That's treating it with sugar pills.

[-] ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de 19 points 8 months ago

*Plain water that was touched by a grain of sugar five vials back. But don't worry. The water remembers it.

Or the missing princess of Wales? There’s a lot to unpack here.

[-] klemptor@startrek.website 32 points 8 months ago

There's some conspiracy theory that something has happened to Kate Middleton because she had abdominal surgery earlier this year and hasn't been seen in public for a little while, and a poorly photoshopped image of her with her kids was recently shared.

[-] frickineh@lemmy.world 5 points 8 months ago

My guess is that she had a hysterectomy and has been recovering, but people are getting wild with the conspiracy theories.

[-] ZagamTheVile@lemmy.world 10 points 8 months ago

That's not even a good conspiracy theory. That sounds like a bunch of amateur crap. They need to step their game up. We have people believing JFK is coming back to claim the presidency.

[-] unreasonabro@lemmy.world 31 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

Heh heh hehnnm. Don't count your chickens before they've hatched, English...

Sincerement,

France

[-] bionicjoey@lemmy.ca 14 points 8 months ago

I can tell this wasn't written by a real Fr*nch because you wrote "Heh heh" instead of "Hon hon"

[-] 9point6@lemmy.world 29 points 8 months ago

Tbh it would probably improve matters

[-] Num10ck@lemmy.world 12 points 8 months ago

imagine the improvement to the food

[-] DessertStorms@kbin.social 8 points 8 months ago

Only if they bring some guillotines along with them, and a way to get the British public to give enough of a shit to actually use them..

What makes you think France is NOT looking to invade? Baguettes to Berettas, non?

D'accord! Pourquoi pas? Vive la France!

The French monarchy is not in better shape.

[-] AnarchistArtificer@slrpnk.net 23 points 8 months ago

I would argue it is

(This is a bad joke about how the best monarchy is no monarchy)

[-] mindbleach@sh.itjust.works 11 points 8 months ago

Let's agree they're not in fighting condition... unless what you're fighting is soil erosion.
