The murder occurred when an altercation broke out between several people at a funfair in the small town of Wittlich.

Two American soldiers have been arrested in Germany over the death of a young man at a funfair in the west of the country, according to German police.

“Following the murder of a 28-year-old man, two suspects were arrested … They are American servicemen,” police in the western city of Treves said in a statement on Sunday.

The death occurred when an altercation broke out between several people at a Saubrenner funfair in the small town of Wittlich, in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate between Treves and Koblenz, on Saturday night.

CW murder, graphic violenceDuring the fight, the victim “was stabbed to death” and “four people, two men and two women, ran away from the scene of the crime”, police said, citing witnesses.

Two members of the fleeing group, aged 25 and 26, were quickly identified whom police arrested before handing over to US authorities, who will take charge of the case “in accordance with NATO statutes”, the police added.

“We’ve never experienced anything like this here,” said Wittlich Mayor Joachim Rodenkirch when asked by the local press.

Colonel Kevin Crofton of the US Airbase Spangdahlem spoke of an “intolerable and avoidable tragedy in our peaceful community”, according to the SWR, a local media outlet. He thanked the local police and the town of Wittlich for their “partnership and patience while the investigation unfolds”, the SWR reported.

The United States has had troops stationed in Germany since World War II, but their numbers have declined since the fall of the Berlin Wall from about 200,000 soldiers in 1990 to 34,500 today.

Very weird that our trained murderers keep doing murders. Someone should look into this

If the US gets to keep troops stationed in Germany 80 years later Russia should also still have troops stationed in Germany

What?! What kind of stupid logic is that.

Ever heard of “NATO”

why are you reporting people for stating factual information? NATO was born from the ashes of Nazi Germany with several Nazi officials being put in NATO positions, and their entire role in the time since has been to create fascist terror cells (strategy of tension, Gladio) in the event of a Soviet invasion of Europe, invading and bombing countries for not bowing to them (e.g. Yugoslavia), and arming fascist paramilitaries in Ukraine to try and provoke Russia into war. you don't even deny this! the discussion at the start of the war was about how great the Javelin was, and they weren't magically conjured by Ukraine en masse, they were there before!

they are, in the most literal sense of each term, a Nazi-Arming Terrorist Organization

A US soldier setting foot anywhere is an invasion.

Occupying soldiers killing people is their whole point.

Honestly unsure why this is weird or considered murder. Is it because their CO didn’t tell them to kill these specific civilians?
