Absolutely astonishing that Iran and Saudi Arabia would be admitted side-by-side. Geopolitical arch-rivals joining the same economic bloc like this might signal a watershed moment for multipolarity.

Argentina is in the middle of an election and two of the candidates with the better chances to win are completely against joining BRICS, one (the ancap) claims he wont deal with Communists (??) and the other (Bullrich) is against because reasons, but I think she'll concede due to the geopolitical situation changing rapidly, and especially with Brazil, being a close partner to Argentina, being a member of BRICS which might create some pressure.

I am curious as to how the US will treat Saudi Arabia going forward. They've always been one of the more nakedly bad ones that US-alliance libs just kinda sheepishly don't mention.
