been around farms a long time, all over the US. seen some wack shit. but not one of her "happens on a farm" characterization of the dog or the goat story sounds right, let alone common and normal.

I had an extended family member in a rural area who shot their neighbor's dog because it was barking. Everyone who knew about it thinks it's horrific, this governor would probably say "serves that mongrel right for being a nuisance!"
