This made me laugh...

He had reportedly come to the town to record a podcast at a local cigar lounge.

Right? I've been thinking about what could have been a funnier context for him to be in town.

  • Cryptocurrency convention
  • Ben Shapiro LARP party
  • Literally unsure, due to being blackout drunk in a different town the night before

Maybe I need to sequester myself in the TrueAnon space but... there's no way that OBL got merced and then "buried at sea", with no DNA evidence or any other evidence taken from the body before his burial to confirm his identity, especially when he allegedly had multiple bodydoubles.

That doesn't pass the sniff test to me.

Remember what they did to Saddam Hussein? If the yanks had any opportunity for doing the same to OBL, I'm sure they would have done it. Even if he got killed during an attempted capture, I still can't imagine them not wanting to test the body to confirm it was him.

That all makes sense, but then why fly a top secret helicopter into Pakistan as a cover story? Why not just claim he was killed somewhere in Afghanistan?

The whole story is likely at least 50% bullshit, but the hard part is determining which 50%.

I mean, if they knew his location then why wouldn't they just precision-strike it with a missile rather than risk him getting away by sending in a team in a highly time-sensitive mission that likely could have alerted OBL to the operation?

I wonder if they sent people in so they could rely on eyewitness testimony as part of the cover story.

...this is all brazen speculation and yeah it's tinfoil hat material, I know.

It is very suspicious. I don't blame you for that.

On a tangent, has anyone watched Zero Dark Thirty? How bad is it?
