What problems are you having? I'm in the US. The worst that happens to me is that pages can be very slooooow to load. But only that.
I hate the modern day internet: the walled gardens, the fountain of AI shit, etc. One reason I joined Bluesky is that I like linking to a page that has comments that doesn't require a sign-in. But then I learn that some (many?) posters think of themselves so highly - they make their posts impossible to read without a sign-in. After that I find a workaround but that doesn't work either?

There are browser extensions and userscripts to stop that from happening.
I always use one because Japanese media companies are absolute freaks when it comes to copyrights so any website that has Japanese lyrics or quotes from books uses that garbage.

Rant: I don't think it's js and ~~I'm pretty good at CSS but...~~ and I used to be pretty good at CSS. The site defeated me. I think it's CSS. There's a gigantic amount of recent CSS stuff I don't know about because I hate it and I certainly don't want to spend hours and hour learning how it how to nullify it.
