There was a lemmy update that got applied to hexbear a few months back, it made firefox get confused about login cache.
delete your cookies on firefox.

Maybe you could check your settings and change your preferences to local/subscribed and/or manage your community subscriptions and block some communities?
I do filter out a few coms but there's not much left after that. Most of the content on the site is dunk tank posts which I don't really like, video essays about video games that I don't care about, or music I'm not interested in.
We used to have some really great posting going on in here but now it seems like Dirt_Owl is the last vestige of it.
