Isn't it pretty much that the waters are good for fishing and it's an important trade route, but china refuses to obey international law, and claims the entire sea as their territorial waters because in direct violation of a UN resolution (or the like)? So the US (and other nations) routinely conduct Freedom of Navigation exercises through the region, which pisses of china because they can't stand it when other countries stand up to them?

When the west took whatever it wanted it just killed everyone who disagreed. China can't do that, so you get to hear the people arguing about it.

Ohh, no, china doesn't kill, they just take their own citizen to concentration camp and brainwash them, do propaganda so well people took the hook, line, sinker, and rod.

China know how to play the long game, now they draw the map, then they convince their citizen it's right, and their citizen will convince oversea chinese it's right, then 2 decades later people will start to argue their line is right.

It is still far humane that the western colonialism through killings. Of course, I am certainly not supporting their claims, but when put things into perspective, the west, especially the U.S and U.K are total hypocrite. The one thing that they done well is the marketing and propaganda, splendid job that made people forgot they kill people to colonize.

Read history books, downvotees. Lookup how many nuclear warheads the U.S installed in puppet governments that pointing to another nation they deemed a rival.

The western democracy is great, but the greatest icon of democracy depicted by U.S is not the only way to govern a nation. There should always an alternative, a rivalry that challenges the bigotry.
