A bit confused, are you ranting that the western media didn't cover enough during the wildfire season or you are pointing out the the local media only focusing on sensitive population in Malaysia ?

The new A17 Pro 3nm chip comes with hardware Ray Tracing, so we will expect the next gen Apple M3 series GPU performance boost. Hopefully, the gap with discrete GPU get closer.

State government, the current chief is Saarani Mohamad.

And if you read the history of the company that wins this case, it has been on bad financial position for a long time and has changed ownership multiple times [1].

The company’s application was dismissed in October last year by judicial commissioner Bhupindar Singh. He said the monastery had demonstrated that they were not squatters and had a strong arguable defence to the eviction.

He also said there were triable issues as to whether they had occupied the land with the acquiescence of the company and state authorities.

Then, suddenly...

The Court of Appeal overturned his judgment.

A three-member bench of the Court of Appeal said the monastery had failed to raise any triable issue to prevent the grant of order.

The bench, comprising Justices Azizah Nawawi, See Mee Chun and Zaini Mazlan, later also rejected an application by the monastery for a stay of execution pending an appeal to the Federal Court.

However, the monastery’s management contested the application, contending that the company could only occupy a small portion of the land as the monastery’s monks have resided and occupied the area for more than 100 years.

They also asked for the application to be dismissed as the company had suppressed material evidence in their application by not disclosing to the court the fact that the land was occupied by the monastery.

Someone should put a decree: arrest the four MBs. They are testing water to gauge the limits.

Since then, the experiment hasn’t been successfully replicated by others yet.

Arxiv papers aren't peer reviewed, and if the experiment cannot be replicated, it most likely fraud, it is not uncommon in scientific communities to fabricate research results to secure funding and fame.

However, the first and second release of their publications could be the first and second draft of the paper that they intended to submit into some prestigious science journals. Usually, researchers submit the preprint version to Arxiv and at the same time to peer reviewed publication such as IEEE, ACM, however there is no guarantee for acceptance for the latter. And in this case, if it cannot be replicated, I supposed it won't get accepted.

If the team has indeed synthesized the LK-99, maybe sending the samples to other researchers will alleviate the concern of hoax, since it is cheap and easy to synthesize ?

Between Zahid and Moo, we don't really have a choice, do we? But if you put PAS into the picture, depends on your ideology and political spectrum, it will be obvious. Moo also strangled with corruption cases, and the amount of embezzlement also on-par with Zahid if not greater; the number of charges, however, is leading by Zahid.

Then, we have the second coming of Iskandar Kutty...

I found this on reddit which I reluctantly to cite it here [1], anyway the comments and the findings were as vague as Apple claiming they beat Nvidia RTX 3090 GPU with that fancy chart.

Regardless, all Apple current lineups, incl. Macbooks, Mac mini, Mac Studio Max come with 16-core Neural Engine, and the Ultra comes with 32-core Neural Engine.

What does it actually do despite all the marketing claims that none other than BS vague stuffs that only accessible to Apple proprietary apps, Finder, FaceTime, Final Cut Pro...

And from the schematic diagram of Apple M series SoC, the Neural Engine used significant space of the SoC.

Does Pytorch and other ML frameworks actually utilize that 16/32-core ?

Some additional contexts from Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye [1].

NO one said vaping is a safe alternative to smoking.

So why are we now legitimising vaping when we are taking steps to introduce an anti-smoking law?

Currently, the law regarding the possession, distribution, and advertisement of electronic smoking devices (ESD) is too loose, allowing underage citizens to freely buy the products either at physical stores or online platforms.

Youths and children are easily attracted to ESD, commonly known as vapes, as they perceive the device as “the lesser evil”, cool and “harmless”.

Long story short, the move is viewed as a giant-ass obvious eyesore trojan horse for the Generational Endgame Bill which aims to stop and prevent smoking and vaping among children and teenagers, our future generations.

It is just a move to gain popular votes from the people that are benefits from it, the Tabacco industry, the thousands of vape SME.

Maybe the government or the Ministry of Health should consider to impose law that if you are a smoker and or vaping on nicotine, you are not entitle for free/subsidized health care for life. The implementation can be as simple as using existing infrastructure like MySejahtera to register your smoking habit, you show your ID and scan every time your purchase a pack or any amount of nicotine, it aggregates the data and show the projection of the probability of your life expectancy, the more transactions the more less likely the government gonna lay eyes on you.

You made your decision to smoke, right ?

I suggest mods to spent less effort on the other platform, and focus on here. Post some exclusive contents here, lure monyets from r/malaysia here and ditch the r/malaysia.

Viral, controversial, exclusive contents here not r/malaysia, maybe that will stick, I stopped using reddit since July 1, mods also need to show determination for changes.

The way i see is Reddit is becoming the Digg, Slashdot...and Yahoo.
